It will be Klopp's turn next up for the Foxes to see if they can extend or perhaps maintain their 5 point advantage at the top. As a Liverpool supporter, our next 2 leagues game starting with Watford tomorrow could be crucial to whether we can keep within touch of the four title contenders, so if Raneri's side could pull off a win, I certainly would sit up and listen, as if I haven't already after an impressive win over in-form everton that keeps their momentum going. I doubt Leicester will be apprehensive of their remaining fixtures, even though it's hard to see them not dropping a fair few points. But I've doubted them once this season, and they've continued to surprise even themselves probably. Their manager has said he will start to think about the title in April, but I think it will be on the players minds, even this afternoon when they survived a late goal from Mirallas to hold on to what could be the first meaningful gap in the league this season, other than Villa at the bottom of the table. Leicester can perhaps afford to draw another five or six of their 21 games remaining if the league is to reflect the first half. The more Leicester keeps winning and talisman Mahrez keeps scoring important goals, the more pressure it builds on the chasers to win. There is no response to Leicester's plain but effective tactics so far from the premier league, so it will be intriguing to see how klopp approaches this match, if he doesn't infact copy Martinez's setup, which will probably result in a draw if liverpool can somehow disrupt the superb chemistry of an almost perfectly balanced Leicester midfield.

Despite dominating possession with 71% but only registering a pitiful 2 shots on target, the Red Devils were denied by Norwich and emphasizes their scoring troubles that have been lurking since the start of the season. Surely now Van Gaal has one foot out of the door, and Fergie's successor still remains undiscovered at Old Trafford. With Mourinho recently saying he will not be taking a sabbatical, it raises the chances of the English giants doing a Liverpool, and bringing in a coach who is more tactically astute, should relish managing a big club again and hopefully turn their fortunes around long term. Even though it would be a risk for Jose to put his reputation on the line further so soon after he turned a team against him, causing as close to pandemonium as possible. If he does go to Manchester it will be interesting to see if he can command the respect he had when he first came back to chelsea, but it's hard to see who else Man Utd have to turn to unless Van gaal can stop the rot and fast.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Be interesting to see how resilient Leicester are to offers for players over January, and where they are able to strengthen.

They don't have the distraction of European football like the rest of the challengers, and that certainly played a part in Liverpool's close call.

Unless Leicester get some stupid offers I think they'll resist and try and keep the squad together to try and get european football.

People seem to be completely unaware that we have billionaire owners who want to win things.

What I love about the whole thing, on top off it being this massive underdog story, is it's not as if Leicester have even splashed the cash to do it.

I mean you look at Bournmouth - it's a fantastic story and an incredible achievement what they've done, but they have got rich ass Russian owners backing them and have spent a fair amount of money relative to the achievement of getting promoted to the Prem.

Whereas Leicester, with what they've got: Vardy only cost £1m, Mahrez 300k or something like that! It's insane.

Atletico Madrid winning La Liga against the might of Barca and Real was a great story, but they're a massive established club in their own right. Blackburn winning the PL were bankrolled by Jack Walker. In the modern game the way it is, if Leicester can somehow keep it up and pull it off it would be one of the most remarkable achievements in the history of football.

Is that true? I think they've spent money that you might not expect them to have, but there is a lot of money washing around the Championship and I got the impression they were pretty astute with their signings.

Oh yeah they used it very wisely not taking anything away from them, but £3m for Wilson, £1m for Ritchie, £2m for Rantie etc... my point was they could more than hold their own in terms of spending despite the stature of the club

But in a league where strikers are moving for eight figure sums...

Ross McCormick cost Fulham more than we paid for our entire promotion squad and stadium combined last year....

McCormack did.

It's exploded recently but even last year £3m is still a considerable amount for a Championship club. They didn't blow everyone out of the water, but they could compete financially. Certainly a lot more so than Leicester sitting above teams paying a quarter of a billion in one window alone

Bit of an exaggeration I think but certainly a tremendous achievement if they did win it (which they probably won't).

Not really buying it so much as not selling it....

Although I am scum. If you're playing pool and you see me take my socks off, you'd better run.

But also, it's not just down to the owner's resillience.

If Vardy's agent is whispering in his ear, or if United want him in to replace Rooney (instant England undroppable) then it's going to be disruptive.

The Montpellier of the Prem perhaps, one surprise title before Pep comes to City and they win everything in sight for a while...
