RefWatch; Ref for Shakers game (played them 5 times at Gigg Lane - W2 D1 L2 - our last D3 game ended in a 2-1 Womble victory in Sept '79) is Andy Haines, 49, a project manager from Sunderland. FL ref since 2007. Says he's a 'pure Mackem' and it shows - he really has his mother's squint and his father's limp. Speaking of inbred northeners, Bury's half time entertainment is worth the entry fee alone, this season they have a typical Mancunian scene featuring famous Bury locals - Gary Neville licking black puddings off Gemma Atkinson's arse.
Reffed Wombles four times (W1 D2 L1); the crazy 4-4 draw with Carlisle in Sept '14 (3Y 1R); the 2-0 defeat to Shrews in Feb '15 (3Y); the 1-1 draw with Cobblers in Nov '15 (2Y) & the 2-0 away win over Daggers in April '16 (2Y). Reffed Bury 10 times (W4 D1 L5), most recently the 3-0 away loss to Barnsley (3Y). Hates the scum. Reffed them twice & they lost both. Hates them. Top man. In 13 games this season he has given 45Y & 4R - high, and given that dirty Bury are top of the fouls conceded table (160), and us Wombles are 7th (145 conceded), he'll be busy.
AnagramWatch; Ref Andy Haines = Aids Any Hen.
KettleWatch; AWOL, so DeadmanWatch; off to the Den in his lucky yellow & blue Y-fronts to ref Millwall v Trotters.
