The best away day for the Amber Army and with our five wins on the bounce we've sold out our initial allocation of 1200.

I expect us to bring 1500 for the M11 Derby that hopefully will see us continue our excellent form and make it six in six.

I'll go for 3-1 to the U's. Berry, Mingoia and Uche.

Tough game to predict really. Orient, on paper, seem to have a decent enough squad and should really be giving us a game, but obviously they've found it tough this season, so this is a game where three points is a big possibility. They also had a decent enough win over Crawley which should have boosted confidence, but Orient strike me as a hit and miss side.

I'll go 1-0 United, our momentum should (hopefully) see us over the line in front of a decent away following, Mingoia goal.

Eh? Hoodoo?! We're 3-4-3 in the past 10 games (and that stretches back nearly 20 years).

But we've only lost one of the last 7 at Orient, over that time period we probably only have a better record (over more than a couple of games) at Barrow and Northampton, so it constitutes a "hoodoo" for us....

I share the skepticism of some my fellow U's on this thread even though most things point towards a Cambridge win. Be very happy with a point if we can follow it up with a win against Notts County.

Very interesting game this one.

Cambridge are on impeccable form, having won 5 on the bounce, and 6 in 7. Taking nothing at all away from this superb run of form, but every single one of these wins has come against a fairly average side. Crawley (even we beat them!), Notts 'let's see how many we can lose on the bounce' County, Cheltenham (ok, fair play these guys are legitimately Championship so this was a great win for Cambridge), Hartlepool (again, even we beat them!), Crewe (1 point from 12), and Stevenage (problems at home).

That said, Orient fall firmly into the same category as the above teams, so the stats point quite clearly to an away win.

However, having lost what felt like an infinite number of games on the spin at home, Orient have actually won their last 2 at Brisbane Road (admittedly, Accrington & Crawley don't represent the cream of League 2), and for the first half against Crawley on Boxing Day, we looked a good footballing team (I know, I'm as shocked as anyone else).

The first goal will be really important here, I think if Orient score first we should be able to hang on for a draw, but if Cambridge start strong we could be losing by 2 or 3.

I would expect goals as well, Cambridge look free scoring, with Legge, Berry and Mingolia all posing genuine threats.

Orient on the other hand, seem to score inconsistently. Bit with 17-year old Sam Dalby scoring with his first touch on his first start, Orient have an unknown quality on their hands. Add to that a well rested Jay Simpson, McCallum fresh from 2 on the 26th, and Gavin Massey finally finding some imperious form, it could make for a very interesting game on New Years Eve.

If you're a betting man, just stay away from this fixture.

I'll hope for a 1-1 draw, but I have a feeling the Us could sneak this one 1-2.

Legge always scores against us and we can't defend set pieces for shit. It's almost guaranteed he will score.

Not only have we won our last 5 games but we've also won our last 5 away games.

You can only beat what's in front of you but the games we've beaten the so lower league teams we've been doing it in style. Also throw in the FA Cup demolition of Coventry and the confidence is sky high.

We've won at 3 grounds we never win at on this run - Exeter, Crawley and Stevenage.

I still think we'll run out winners on Saturday as or workrate is unbelievable at the moment and that's killing teams off in the second half.

I think we'll draw or lose this one. As long as we follow it up by beating Notts County (which we should) we'll still be in the play off race and confidence should be high ahead of Blackpool and luton.

Edwards has got the team fighting, which is a start. Not been exciting to watch, but its a small step in the right direction for now.

I cannot see Cambridge being as poor as Crawley were on Boxing Day, the fact that we made it difficult for ourselves in a game we were comfortable for the majority of, shows we are still vulnerable.

Our last home win against Cambridge was 2-0 back in February 1999 when Martin Ling scored a stunner. The only other one before that I've seen, was October 1995 when in a 3-1 win for ourselves, Steve Butler missed a penalty before being sold to Gillingham. Other than that its a fixture we always seemed to freeze in over the years.

Leon Legge is bound to score, he always scored against us from set places with Brentford and Gillingham.

17 year old Sam Dalby will probably start again, but I cannot see Legge and Roberts being as generous as Crawleys Centre halfs and defence in general were.

If we don't get 6,000 for this, it will be crap. Remember kick off is at 1pm!!

Probably not. Don't underestimate how pissed off our fanbase is - we've been slipping under 4K home fans all season and our away attendances are around 40% down. I have a season ticket, but I've been picking and choosing all campaign and there are plenty more who have sacked it off altogether until that weasel Becchetti slings his hook.

Yeah I agree with what E10rifle says above (which shows you how bad its gotten!).
So so many annoyed Os fans. I have had a season ticket for over 20 years, I've already missed about 5 home games this season and will not be renewing.
6,000 would be the upper limit, even with 1,400 Us.

I remember that game with ling scoring, cracking goal bit I've always hated him since, think we was doing ok at the time as well, bit like we are now.

Yeah I agree Cambridge are playing the better football, though one up at the break is slightly flattering.
