We've been a bit unlucky in 4 of the last 5 games. But there is only so long you can say that before you have to question a manager and his tactics and signings etc.

This could well end up 8-8, seen as both sides seem to be completely jekyll and Hyde :bl:

We've been good at home but struggled away with physical teams on smaller pitches.

Assuming that Orient attack us, this could actually suit us better. We'll come to score goals, for sure.

First game of the season where I have looked at the game and thought we would be lucky to get a point.
as jacob says Orient could set up how Notts would prefer and hopefully the pitch is decent (and wide)
A point here would be decent though

We cannot keep a clean sheet for shit, we are one of those teams that HAS to get the first goal.

When we fall behind we have struggled to break teams down who sit deep infront of us, we usually get the ball wide and aim for crosses, we don't really go through the middle much. Our left back Frazer Shaw is very limited going forward, but he is a young boy and will probably need a season to settle down and to be fully assessed as whether or not he is worth another year - Which might be Hendons downfall.

Our number one Alex Cisask is away with Australia, so young Charlie Grainger will make his 3rd start for us. He had an awful league debut away at Exeter and was one of the reasons we lost 4-0 - Although he did make two good saves.

I wouldn't be suprised if Notts County are midtable till January, before getting a settled side and going on a long unbeaten run and being in the promotion shake up, there is enough in their squad and team to do well at this level.

I believe we will be bringing John Marquis in on loan, gutted for Paul McCallum as he had his uses for this level even if his form had dropped recently, a huge blow to lose him for the rest of the season.

Ollie Palmer I think as well will come back and bite Hendon on the arse, a hard worker but will not get more than 5 goals in a season, he is a Conference striker at best - But I already knew that before he joined.

If Dean Cox, Jay Simpson, Mathieu Baudry and IMO Jack Payne get injured we are fucked.

Game might as well start at 1-1, we're pretty much always gonna both score and concede. We're unlikely to sit back if we take the lead tbh, our team just isn't set up to do it.

I see that Orient have signed Adam Chicksen on loan.
Good player. Bundles of pace.

Marquis didn't sign but Chicksen did! We needed more pace down our left.

Grainger
Clohessy Essam Baudry Chicksen
Payne
Pritchard Moore
Cox
Palmer Simpson

Subs:
Sargeant
Dunne
Shaw
Turgott
James
Moncur
Kashket

We're gonna need another striker at some point, Kashket's in the "he has potential, but still very raw" bracket. Grainger will be under the spotlight again, we will probably create chances but we will 100% concede.

We will lose.

Jenner, Sprockel and Smith can all get fucked. Can't carry 3 players

A very ODD game I thought, we should've had more than one goal at half time. Notts County looked very static at the back and rarely troubled us first half.

The introduction of McLeod running in behind gave us more problems second half, we fell asleep for the goal from our perspective, we seem to have various spells in games where we simply seem to stop and the energy goes, during that period Cisak had to make a good save from McLeod.

However, even though we faded in the second half we got that little bit of luck needed for our 2nd and 3rd goals, Loach's awful parry from Clohessy's shot (which was the wrong choice) and Simpson got a tap in, then from nowhere Sammy Moore launched a spectacular goal of the season contender form 25 yards :bl:

Today I thought we didn't play anywhere near as well as we have done from 3 of the last 4 games, but we somehow ground out the win which didn't look like it was coming in the second half.

Notts County a very odd team, lots of good individual players but played long ball to their strikers regularly, I can understand making 9 changes as our XI has played midweek and the 9 changes haven't. But personally I can't see how that can build consistency in a team.

Fairly positive that our reserve side are fairly competitive.

Moniz is great though. I can't imagine how uninterested I'll be when we sack him and appoint some dull usual suspect.

Minis deserves the stick for putting that tripe on show. Makes nine changes but keeps Smith in the side. Smith was chuffing terrible.

Jenner adds nothing, compete passenger.

Campbell, Hewitt, Noble all should have kept their places. Terrible decisions.

I can't be arsed sacking Moniz. But he's gonna be under pressure now with Plymouth next weekend, time to stop fucking about, work out your best team and get some consistency.

I am still struggling to understand why we just randomly decided to deploy the reserves today.

If we lost it's because he wanted us to lose, he's playing the long game. Method to the madness. Or something.

This Moniz sounds a bit little Gary Johnson in that it will either be bloody brilliant or an utter disaster.

I think he's both at the same time, a but like mad Fabio Liverani last season. Baffling management, but you can't deny the entertainment that came with it.

Making nine changes to a side that had gone WLWWD in the last five pretty unforgivable IMO.

Getting to the point now where I'm fairly sure Moniz is actively harming our promotion chances.

You could understand it if you were off to Dagenham having played at Orient in midweek, but not the other way round. Very odd.

Though the suggestion on some of your boards seems to be that there was some kind of large-scale training ground fallout in the week, and Moniz was laying down the law to the squad.

Don't believe anything you've read on NCM. Loads of people were saying Moniz was done with Spencer and he starts...

I love a good rumour but the lads on NCM are always full of shit. The poster in question wouldn't be able to convince me the Earth was round with his track record.
