Poor Stevie must be watching this with mixed feelings. He'll no doubt be glad his team is on a winning streak, but probably sad they're not only doing it without him, but looking more cohesive and impressive as a unit at the same time. When he's fit again he shouldn't be an automatic starter, but knowing Rodgers he probably will be and we could well suffer in terms of form for it. Henderson and Coutinho in particular have played a lot better without him.

Didn't see the match tonight as was involved in the Gameshow Marathon and then had my tea and watched the Copa Italia and Copa del Rey matches. Sounded like another good performance though. Away to see it on MOTD.

Yeah just saw it on MOTD; he's been watching Gerrard's shots! He had a superb game tonight, with that goal and an assist for Sturridge (should have been two assists at that but for the fine save in the first half from Burnley's keeper when Sturridge was through). And to think there were people who thought he was an overpriced waste of money when he signed...

The whole team looked sharp tonight again, they are flying just now.
