I was browsing some social media, my gasts are absolutely flabbered by the suggestion that after our draw with Luton the squad only needs a couple of change for next season. We have 8 points from the 19 games in 2017. That averages at 19 points over the season - 97/98 Doncaster managed 20...

I expect it to be 8 from 20 as relegation is confirmed tomorrow whilst Hartlepool get a much needed win.

I don't think we'll win at all. You'll probably have a big crowd (?) at a fiver a pop, with us paying 24 quid. You haven't won at home this year and we have one win in 15 away. You need to win to avoid mathematical relegation. The odds are stacked against us. I'm expecting you to win as we'll just arrogantly think we just have to turn up to win. That's one of our problems, complacency and arrogance from all at the club and it has no foundation at all.

Also, if you are an Oxford fan, please fuck off. This has the square root of sod all to do with you.

Dropping out of the league isn't the end, fella. Even twatty owners can't erase a club's soul.

Hang on in there. The good times will return.

We simply must win here or I genuinely think we are finished as a league club, they need to respect the opposition, it doesn't matter how young they are or how poor they've been, if the players think they can just turn up and collect the three points I think they'll be in for a shock.

Is it too much to ask to have Oates up front? Funny how his best game in a Pools shirt was the one were Collins brought him back in from the shadows, home to Stevenage, ran his bollocks off and won all sorts in the air that day, he isn't a wide man and never will be.

I don't think we're finished as a football league club if we don't win but we'll be relying on others yet again to be more hopeless than we are.

Agree about Oates though, always does his best and grafts for the shirt. One of the few with any genuine desire in this squad. Heard him in interviews like? He's as thick as two short planks but worth a deal next season regardless if we're L2 or not.

Perhaps a touch over dramatic but certainly our easiest or best chance to get three points out of the remaining four games, anything but maximum points would leave us in a shite position, wouldn't fancy us at all being in the bottom two with three to play, that Cheltenham game is gonna be the decider.

Oates seems to get pelters by the thickets at Pools he might not have natural ability but he has a proper go, stick him up front with Amond just behind him, we've been playing Amond upfront on his own and pumping long balls up to him, what's the point? he's like 5'8 or something, madness man.

Hope our fans don't fucking show us up tomorrow with any chants of relegation or other dumb fuckery, we could find ourselves in a very similar position in the not too distant future if things continue as they are, keep it civil and supportive.

I can understand Eric's glee at Orient's demise - I'll feel the same when somebody dumps us (thanks, Lee). But being a bystander I detest, and can sympathise, with a club being run into the ground just by having a fuckwit owner.

Do you know what, I wasn't bothered who goes down with Orient, but I think now I'll be hoping Newport keep winning. Maybe you two could draw tomorrow, while Newport win, that would be nice…………….

I included you on the irrational hatred thread on the L1 forum. Now I've just been reminded why. Cheers for that.

A game that I think will probably end up in an entertaining draw!

Our backline is very young and prone to individual errors and the odd bit of roughing up. Going forward we've been awful and for me, its been the main reason we've been losing so heavily. We don't have a proper striker who can hold the ball up, stretch defences, who cause problems and most importantly finish. Fridays draw at Luton was the first time since we beat Newport 4-0 that we've caused any team any real trouble.

Our young team have given everything and alot of them in 5 years time will be doing well for themselves.

Hartlepool will have more experience, if they manage to score 2 goals quickly that will kill us off. Luton on Friday failed to add to their first half dominance and we managed to scrap a draw.

Oh but it does.

We are VERY interested onlookers.
Give it up or be blocked from this thread as you are embarrassing yourself, you make me think you're a child with your posts, hopefully the same will happen to your club so the rest of us can laugh at your demise, idiots like you do your club no favours so hopefully we'll laugh at your relegation next season . If you can't take it don't dish it out.

Well, if there are, I hope they notice that I've been told to fuck off several times and also been called a c***, but have not responded with any profanities.
For what it is worth I think you're brilliant at everything you do :)

I refer you to my post immediately prior to yours.

I rather think your allegation of "if you can't take it, don't dish it out" is more relevant to the people on here giving me abuse, for daring to have an alternative opinion. Go back through it and tell me where I've been abusive, particularly in comparison to what has been said to me. The thread has my name in the title in a deliberate attempt to get a response from me, what do you expect me to do, sit here and take it, without responding, while others are allowed to f*** and c*** at me?

As for childish, well I do think your comment about hoping we get relegated next season, so that you can all laugh at us, is childish in itself, particularly from a moderator.

Oh just noticed you're a Wycombe fan, so obviously have a chip on your shoulder where Oxford are concerned. If you ban me then you are actually condoning the abuse that I've received while I'm not responding in kind. I could have responded with a string of f***s and c***s if you'd prefer, but I have showed restraint? Go on surprise me.
I couldn't give a toss about Oxford as there is no reason to as you're in a different county. What i do object to is you posting bile and boring the shit out of the rest of us here. Why do you think we should have to read your posts while we scroll down? The majority of posters on here are well worth reading what they post but you are obsessed, time you got a life.

Anyways, getting back to the game..

Our backline is very young and prone to individual errors and the odd bit of roughing up.

So is ours, We have a 17 yo, 23, 20 and 22 as our current back four, and I think the keeper is 19. Anything physical we can't deal with and that's one reason we're in the shite. And prone to lapses in concentration.

Hartlepool will have more experience, if they manage to score 2 goals quickly that will kill us off. Luton on Friday failed to add to their first half dominance and we managed to scrap a draw.

We also struggle to score but Amond is a useful finisher and if Thomas is on his day or Alessandra, there's potential there (if only our centre midfield wasn't so chronically shite). Problem is Thomas wants away when we need him most and Alessandra is very hot and cold. In terms of experience, we're probably not much older than your team and it shows in the zero levels of game management the team has. No leader also doesn't help.

So as you can see, I'm not that confident.

Against a young and inexperienced back four I can see Alessandra getting a penalty, he was the master of it for us.

There is a concern that the game may not go ahead as all of our backroom staff are walking out after asking for their wages and being told to basically "f*** off":(

Can see an Orient win.Adversity can galvanize a club & a young team play without any fear.
We have players with plenty of ability, but unfortunately with no fight what so ever

My apologies to the forum, it just winds me up seeing people taking pleasure in what is such a seriously shit situation Orient find themselves in. I shouldn't have called him a see you next Tuesday.

if Pools draw and Newport lose that's us 2 ahead with 3 to play , hardly the end of the world nor indeed us as a league club

Like I said, over dramatic, but if they don't have the professionalism and fight to beat a team decimated and forced to use kids we won't win again this season.

I can genuinely see Orient winning this, Hartlepool offered very little going forward against our fragile defence and weren't particularly solid at the back. Obviously Orient are in a terrible place and forced to field a team of youth players, but it'll be a close game.

If Hartlepool don't win this one, I think they'll go down, though I can't see Newport picking up any points at Plymouth.

Maybe not, but Newport have got to come to Brunton Park for their penultimate match so that may just be enough to keep them up.

Apologies for the problems it would cause fans, but i would love it if game did get posponed and caused EFL some much needed bad publicity and some actually work to do for a change.

saying that it would mean of course the EFL having to go to their beloved premiership to ask for advice on what they would have to do with the game because they don't make any decisions themselves.

Pools picked up a point against a play off team , unluckily didn't get one v a play off contender and picked up a useful point at Morecambe .... we are not as bad as people think ( if you don't count the midfield !) .... we should get 4 to 6 from the next 2 , that may leave us 4 ahead of Cheltenham meaning we go there and get a draw and we are safe with a game ro spare ..... and that's not factoring in Yeovil's decline as unreasonably predicted by some of thier fans .....I'm not buying that one BTW!
