Alright lads/lasses, after a bit of insight. We've just sacked our useless wanker of a manager and was wondering what sort of manager Garrard is? Hearing rumours he's in the running, don't see much national league other than the highlights and the fact Wood are third.
People who've seen them more than me, what sort of football do they play and how good a job has he done?
We aren't looking to appoint anyone til the end of the year so perhaps may play into our hands as we can wait for their playoff campaign to finish.

Being a new addition to non league shittery my view is limited to a single match against Boreham Wood but I found them to be a collection of dirty cheating wankers.

Boreham Wood are a good footballing team when they want to be, usually up until they take the lead. Then more often than not they resort to some of the worst gamesmanship imaginable. Expect plenty of OT at they end of each half.

Ignoring the fact that he's built a team on a high wage structure on crowds of about 300 (but thats another argument) I'd say he's got potential to be a decent manager and he is only 33, my age and it makes me feel old...........

In the two games we played against them this season, they showed they knew how to get results in this league, tactically clever whilst playing some decent football when they had the chance. When they played on our quagmire of a pitch they literally took zero chances and abandoned any sort of passing game and proved hard to break down as well.

They love a bit of gamesmenship though, but you get far more of that shit down here than in the Football League IMO.

You won't be able to afford him. No idea if he's a good manager due to them being a moneybags club and besides which they'll be reffed up against Tranmere in the PO Final anyway so I expect he'll stay.

They make most of their money from their tinpot stadium by charging proper club supporters per breath taken.

Good, well-drilled side who are adaptable, which bodes well for Garrard’s abilities. Reaps the benefit of the worst financial doping in the division, though.

Thanks for Justin Edinburgh btw. I know Northampton fans all thought he was shit, but it turns out that it was just you.

Ain't that the truth. The good tinpot teams employ shithousery from the second they go ahead and the rubbish tinpot ones do it from the second the whistle blows. One of the two big reasons I want shot of Mooney is because his diving is an actual embarrassment to the club and drags us down to Dover etc’s level. Didn’t see Boreham Wood doing any more or less of it than most.

Can’t say I’ve seen much gamesmanship from us this season

To be fair E10rifle, we're still reaping the rewards of Edinburgh's dreadful dreadful recruitment. No width and no goalscorers.

We've been soft as shite for about 2 years so I'd like a bit of shithousery done by us. Everyone needs to do it sometimes.

Boreham Wood along with Macc are one of the best footballing sides in this league. They are bank-rolled to a significant extent and I think he'd be better off staying put and seeing if he can get them into the FL. If that doesn't happen and the Cobblers only make a temporary appointment to the end of the season, maybe a chance to pounce then.

Play some good football.

Made Maidstone look very ordinary at our place, but that's not hard for any half decent footballing side.

If you'd kindly offer him the job /appoint him before Tuesday, that would be grand, thanks.

I watched that video of the demolishing Maidstone and despite them being unpopular because of their tosser of an owner they are a good side. Their best player, Andrade, wasn't even playing. Maidstone were very poor and their GK is a bit of a liability.
