At one point a few weeks ago this was looking like the battle of the bottom two, although both have picked up of late. Macc unbeaten in 2 but still looking for that first win, and we are now 4 without defeat, winning the last two.

Rob Milsom will be a big miss in midfield, he’s been very good recently and was just starting to form a decent partnership with Hewitt in the centre of the park.

Other than whoever replaces him, we’ll probably be unchanged and play the 4-2-3-1 that has served us well in the last two.

I’ll go for 1-2 Notts. Should be a decent following behind the goal I reckon.

We could come down with a seriously huge bump with this type of game.

As said Milsom will be a loss with maybe Vaughan returning which is a little worry. He can pass and turn defence into attack but he can’t run and can’t/won’t tackle which is what Milsom was good at.

Had we not been missing Milsom I’d have expected an unchanged side and a win, now I’m not so sure. Stead must be frazzled too and he has done awesome the last 4 games.

Again we must not lose with Oldham, Bury, MK and Swindon coming up next.

Will be nice to see Brisley, Hewitt and Dennis back at the Moss. I'm going for 3-1 Notts win.

We seem to be able to score goals now and then. Our defenders are working as hard as they can.

The problem is we have one of the weakest midfields I have ever seen at Macc so their is zero chance they will either create enough for us to score enough goals, nor protect the back four to help against conceding them

I see a hammering coming. 1-4 County.

Looking forward to this can see 750+ travelling. Loss of Milsom could be significant but the addition of Tulley has had a profound impact. Hope to get a result as confidence must be higher.

County's poor start was a bit of an anomaly and it was clear they'd pick up form with their players, while ours had been much more reflective of the squad we have. Last two games may have been an improvement but our midfield injury crisis is getting worse, not better.

3-1 County, though we'll still be 1-0 up on 94 minutes.

I'd keep the same team as Tuesday but add Dan Jones in place of Milsom. I know his form has been shocking but given its either Hussin or Vaughn I'd pick Jones because he is rangy, tall ,hard running player who fits in naturally on the left.
We should win but it won't be in my coupon, we're wide open and pretty easy to make chances against.

I do like the idea of Jones replacing Milsom, don’t think he will, but I don’t think it’ll be Vaughn either. Maybe Kellet.

The average caller to the Samaritans is more optimistic than the Macc fans, but this seems like as good a chance as any to get their first win. Maybe not as good as it would have been 3 weeks ago though.

Btw it’s a bastard the Oldham game’s been cancelled.

I’d play Kellet too, he’s left-footed, right? Think it will be Husin tho.

Mac has to win at some point. It would be very Notts to go there on a run and lose. I hope that isn’t the case though. We really need to string some wins together. Time to stand up and be counted for both sets of players

If Notts lost against winless Macc, then that would be a serious dent to our recent growing confidence levels. Hard to justify it but so easily could happen.

Over 600 tickets sold and it’s pay on the day too? Not sure what the away capacity is but it seems we are being given more than usual?

Apparently only 70 seats left max as of 2pm today (Friday)

Settling on a 0-1 win, scored early and we defend for the rest but, well!

Nope. Every team gets 1900. Unless your FGR then you get 12.

Glad we’ve gone Brisley in for Milsom instead of Vaughan. Not ideal but it’s not Vaughan’s type of game, in fact not sure League 2 is his type of game period.

Get in. Miles off what we’re capable of still but fuck it, we’re a team again.

So we won 1-0. 5 games without defeat. 3 wins on the bounce. Rare clean sheet.
Harry working miracles or just highlighting Nolan’s bizarre and unexpected shortfalls

I still think County are going to hit a tough patch sooner than later BUT, you now have equal amount of wins as Mansfield do.

Christ that's depressing.

Lol. Conks you don’t need to tell me or any Notts fan that, the barometer of shitness for a lot of Notts fans.

We are fragile, average and play Mansfield or anyone decent and we will lose. But it’s 5 unbeaten , 3 wins on the bounce and it wasn’t long ago we double our points tally as Adam worked and kindly pointed out

1 + 1 = 2, now 12

Bit of both. We were pretty poor today but did enough against a really bad team and never looked like conceding. Reminded me of the kind of win that Nolan was getting at the start of last season.

Nailed on 0-0 until we decide to gift Notts a goal on a plate. Very low quality from both sides but we just had to find a way to lose it.

We could only manage a draw against Macclesfield (Obivously) So you did better than us at Moss Road.
