Huge game for us this after Tuesday's unexpected win at Carlisle. We will hopefully be unchanged, although Jim O'Brien may be missing after Jamie Devitt left a 3-inch gash on his calf. If he's out I'd expect Mitch Rose to move into midfield and Tootle to come in at RB.

Will Jim Bentley play for the point, or go for the win? I always liked Aaron Collins when he was with us - was criminally underused in his time here.

Think this will be tight and tense, I'm going to optimistically say we can win by the odd goal...

I made the decision before Tuesday to make my first appearance of the season on Saturday. Other football related commitments have prevented me so far.

I just had to make the effort as it could be our last season in the EFL for who knows how many seasons.

An unexpected but deserved win on Tuesday means this has a little more to it than a "let's see how it goes" game. A win could take us to within a point of Yeovil but with them playing Macc we could be as you were.

Hemmings had a good game Tuesday as did Alessandra, maybe Duffy, who came in for the rested Barclay could be what we needed along side Stubbs. JimO will be a bit of a loss but I'd love to see Rose in his more natural position.

Windy again Saturday.

Actually feel like there could be goals in this one, gonna go for a tasty 4-3 win.

Take a point from this, we can't really afford to lose it or else it could potentially drag us back in. Hopefully we've not knackererd ourselves out from the other 2 games this week.

Massive game.

We don't have that good a record against Morecambe. After the surprise and renewed hope of Tuesday I'm preparing myself for the despair to follow. Every time a crunch match comes we bottle it.
A draw isn't enough for us, we need the win but I'd be surprised if it comes.

Massive game.

Some seriously impressive results for Morecambe lately. Richie Bennett seems to have made a difference, which I’m sure Carlisle fans found bemusing.

What system do you play at the moment?

Jim chops and changes really, last 2 homes games we've played 4-4-2 and we've looked a lot better, but when it comes to games that we can't afford to lose, he'll start with 1 upfront and try to crowd the midfield. I wouldn't be shocked if he did that tomorrow to be honest.

Morecambe didn't offer much neither did we. Our defence looked decent which has been rare this season, midfield geriatric and we really missed O'Briens drive and energy. Hemmings did well up top but was isolated. Just not enough when we needed something big.

First game in about 5 years and today I saw a team that was very nervous.
Notts didnt play bad, in fact had the better of the game for 70-75 mins. That said we didn't cause their keeper many problems.
The only worry for the shrimps was the shot first half that the keeper did well to save then even better from the rebound.
Neither side offered much going forward, perhaps Morecambe wanted the point.
I last watched Notts when we got relegated from League 1, I have seen the same indecision.

We probably could or should have won today, with the pressure but pressure doesn't get you goals.

Just got home, has there been a shot on target yet?

Seriously, got the point we wanted but that was one tripe game. Special shoutout to the pathetic ref (for both sides)

Not a great deal to talk about Conks, only 2-3 shots on target from both sides. Not much else happened despite Notts having a lot of the ball.

The game was played in the middle third, neither side played badly just very average, desire was there, enough anyway but both sides didn't want to concede which meant both defences were on top for 95% of the game.

I don’t believe any Notts fan has run off , not that I keep tabs on them .

We can’t always have monster match threads Sir . Plus as mentioned there isn’t much to talk about from the match itself , very dull game plus there has been no petty comments from opposition or home fans to fan the flames , morecambe naturally don’t seem to have too many on the forum and most important of all we’ve somehow managed to escape the many many posts of the usual couples of Stags fans who comment on pretty much all Notts match threads .

That Sir is the reason this is a short thread .

Fair enough, trust me I know how tough it is!

2-3 shots sounds an improvement on the game we had!
