3 - 1 now thanks to a penalty from Snodgrass. Malta down to 10 men with a straight red card and unsure what for, the ref must've thought he saw pulling in the box from the defender. Strange one.

Poor discipline from Malta who look better than San marino but still awful.

One of the worst refereeing displays I've ever witnessed, and that's saying a lot when I've watched my fair share of connie and lower league footy.

2nd goal was a foul on a Maltese player and he let the play go on, and the 3rd was never a foul let alone a pen and a sending off. Malta were decent up til that 2nd goal, but it's hard when a side realise they're playing against 12 men.

Ref made a poor Scotland side look great.

It makes a change winning an opening qualifying match, something we've not managed in a while. Hopefully the start of a good campaign.

Good result for Scotland but Malta are pretty shocking, how that was a red card and a penalty I don't know killed off any hope Malta had of getting back in the game. Pleased to see Barry Bannan have a good game and for Fletcher to get on the score sheet, hopefully he can start banging them in for us now.
