Back to winning ways please. Keep the pressure on City and Arsenal for a third place finish. We don't need the pressure of a play-off match, considering how big it will be for us financially.

Big deflection for that goal, WBA won't care though - they've defended very well as always under Pulis and have nicked a goal. Plan has worked well so far.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
United remind me a little of Liverpool last season. Won their cup final against City and then collapsed.

Yes, there's a distinct absence of Spear.

They didn't miss? Did the team collectively take the pen?

:bg1:

It's ironic this has happened because I was watching Liverpool v QPR earlier with my son. He said that Gerrard had missed his pen and I basically said what you said about Myhill. I didn't see RVPs pen though, just read that he'd 'missed'.

That pretty much raps up 2nd and 3rd for ourselves and City then. Incredible how City could now move 5 points clear of United should they beat Spurs given they were 5 points behind just a couple of weeks back.

If Spurs and City draw and then Arsenal beat Hull, we should solidify our best league finish in a decade. Should have fired Wenger and gone with a new manager.

SC You're saying 2nd and 3rd for yourselves and City is wrapped up and then how it's incredible that in only 2 weeks City could go back to being 5 points clear of United. Have you seen the league table? How does that constitute 2nd and 3rd place being wrapped up? Look at the twists and turns last season. I think in terms of the top of the table the only thing wrapped up is Chelsea winning the title.

Am I surprised by this result? The answer is no.

'Heads in the sand'chester United have proven once again that they're oblivious to how football really works. You see, throwing ridiculous amounts of money on washed up strikers don't make you a quality side, it makes you a desperate one, and failing to score AT HOME to a struggling relegation side is proof of that.

My question to United 'fans' is this. When did you realise that the club you 'support' is nothing but a sinking ship, taking washed up stars of football down with it?

I have and United are 2 points behind Arsenal. Granted Arsenal have 2 games in hand, but as I said look at last season and how that had a lot of twists and turns. United are only 2 points behind City too who have 1 game in hand. With the exception of QPR I don't think any of City's last games will be easy. Arsenal also have to go to OT. I don't think the top 3 positions are as wrapped up as you're suggesting, yet.

Who would ever have thought that playing two strikers behind a midfielder wasn't the sign of a tactical genius?

Who cares? The season is over, I find it tough to analyse teams that are already on holiday. Worst Premier League season in years and I'm not just saying that because United have been shit for the vast majority of the season, glad it's nearly over.

Yeah, it doesn't stand out as being one of the best. Especially given that Chelsea will all but win it.

Strange tactics from LVG. Fellaini playing upfront with Rooney and Van Persie in midfield.
Di Maria done absolutely nothing when on the pitch.
WBA defended well with throwing everything in the way of the ball.
Sensible signings are needed by Man Utd in the summer.
