Big game for both sides Saturday. Both in the top 7 in the form table aswell.

We are strong at home, we won't be pretty to watch. We play abit more football than last season/Early this season but a combo of our pitch looking like Bradford's in parts and not having the personnel to play decent attacking football. I hope we don't catch a Bury side like the one who came here last season. As shite as we were that night you can't take anything away from Bury, they were brilliant. I'm sure it will be much tighter this time.

I'm going to go with my head and say 1-1.

Many Bury coming over for this? Anyone sampling the delights of Mansfield town centre pre match?

We should win this, whether we will is another matter.

Can you pay on the gate or collect tickets from Mansfield ticket office for the away end?

No mate. Well apparently we wouldn't turn an away fan away yet they always say no tickets to be sold for away fans on Match days.

Punting for a 2-2 draw with us finally getting a penalty... it's going to happen one day!

We've a pretty good record against sides from the top 7 under Murray at home - played 3, won 2 and lost 1 and have been on a decent run of form.

Bury are a good side, so we will be up against it, but I think we should be more than capable of gaining a point - which I would be happy with given the recent points haul in the last few games.

Really difficult game this one and I would be happy with a point. Our home form isn't too bad and I hope we have ago on Saturday. When we attack teams we do look dangerous there is pace in the side and Billy Kee looks like he's finding his form so I'll go for a 1-1 draw. How many are Bury fans expecting to bring?

You all know what I'm going to say
SHIT FRED TITLE
As to the game, kick any white shirt that has the ball, drop like you have been shot when ever a white shirt gets within 5 yards and watch us implode, easy.

If it's anything like the game at Field Mill last season, the Bury lad would be 2 or 3 yards down the wing before our lad went for the ball/player, probably the best away showing I had witnessed from an away side last season

Right, is there ANY chance of pay on the day?

I've heard they sometimes change it to pay on the day on the day..

I'm half temped to risk it as I'm only in Sheffield and have no chance of getting a ticket, the train is relitavely cheap

Id imagine you could.

Ring Mansfield on 01623 482 482 and ask them.

Don't you know anyone in bury who could get you a ticket from your place? That's what mates do for me with me living in Manchester.

If all else fails just go in the home end, it's not like most of it will be busy anyway

Chances are that you will be able to pay on the day. However if you want to play it safe, can you pay for a ticket over the phone with Bury and then collect it at the Mansfield ticket office?

UpTheShakers It's not pay on the day and it's never made pay on the day for away supporters however a few times this season people have turned up and they have gave them a ticket at the main ticket office. I'd try ringing Bury, or failing that Mansfield to see if you can pay for a ticket over the phone and pick it up Saturday before risking coming down here though.

So stupid we create this farce every game. I wonder if any other club has this SAG?

Either way, making it all ticket for away fans so we can get full capacity seems futile, its not like its going to happen any time soon.

Agree with you, its daft.

As for the SAG i guess all league clubs have them just that ours are bunch of hitlers.

Rang Mansfield yesterday, they said I could buy a ticket from Bury over the phone and collect it from Field Mill...

Then I rang Bury who said they hadnt been told of this and were somehow confused about how the ticket would get to Mansfield... What a farce!

For away games MTFC normally let's us pay for a ticket over the phone and then collect at the home teams ticket office. These tickets get taken to the home club via the MTFC team coach.

That's our useless ticket system for you. Either get someone to purchase one ober there or maybe go in the home stands?

I know Luton fans did collect tickets from our place after booking from their end.

The stagsnet regulars are waiting to see what bullcrap flitcroft will come up with before the game.

I wonder if we've trained on the pitch like he wrongfully claimed last season

Oh yeah, forgot about that. We don't need to train on it to be fair, we have reserves, youth and ladies games on it aswell as the First team. No wonder the pitch is fucked.

Someone on the Bury message board has suggested that you do it because of your youth firm?

Can't personally recall any problems at your place myself though......

Yeah it's wide of the mark.

There will always be 1 or 2 twats, but you'll get them anywhere.

For the bury fans that come early, walk across the bridge close to the ground and town is there - decent pubs with decent folk, as long as ppl behave themselves Mansfield town centre Is pretty decent.

You've got to doff the cap to bury and say well played.

Much like the game at the soulless gigg lane bury were simply on a different level to us.

Our play wasn't bad in the 2nd half after allowed far too much time and respect in the 1st - but we were simply no match at all.

The black lad at centre half was superb.

It gives Murray some form of marker on what we need for next season playoff wise - we were fortunate that results went our way.

Surprised burys following was so low

I went in the end. Very professional display against a very poor Mansfield side who are supposed to play nice football?

411 isn't bad compared to the 230 you brought to Gigg Lane.

And if Gigg Lane is soulless I can't even think of a word to describe field Mill!

Probably the best side I've seen this season, they didn't create too much but we were totally and utterly dominated. Many on Stagsnet must not have a clue about football whilst they claim Bury were rubbish...

They were so strong, efficient and played good football too! They made us look shite and that's not the Mansfield of late, we are a good home side recently turning over Luton, Stevenage and would've been Northampton bar a last minute penalty.. Bury fans shouldn't underestimate their win today.

Eaves looks a class buy, not many players can bully Tafazolli but that's exactly what he did today. That big black centre half was really good and I like Adams too.

Junior Brown is dreadful IMO... Why doesn't he try and take a man on?! Every single time he just checks back! Thomas was our best player once again and he got took off, was he on a yellow?

Regarding Field Mill being 'soulless' it's not always like that, if they give us something to shout about we do make a bit of a racket late on in games especially. We are just rising to mid table obscurity though, not much to get excited about.

Field mill Isn't soulless, though its not upto much, bury are one of the few sides (been with other sides than mansfield) that make us look good.

Id rate them as a very strong playoff side that we need to build on.

Hopefully next season when we are both in this division we can get something from the game. Was surprised how few the away support was and hopelessly quiet (as was the home ends)

With a defence like that bury can go far

411 isn't bad compared to 230 no, but if we were 5th in Mid March going to Bury there would be more than 411. We have been shite all season, and we haven't played football for weeks. Not for 90 minutes anyway, The defenders distribution is shite, so they'd only fuck up a 5 yard pass anyway. Roll on the Summer anyway!

The away following was obviously affected by the all ticket policy and it probably knocked a hundred or more off the gate.

I managed to get a ticket posted to me.

At least common sense prevailed. The all ticket thing is shite but I still expected more.

One thing though, bar Hartlepool you lot have been the most vocal here this season IMO. Good support from the 411.
