Today was just so fitting for how our season has gone. Started off well, wasted chances. Defence then falls asleep and we concede. Heads drop and the game is all but over

Our build up play is absolutely rubbish. I think we are pretty much pinning all our hopes on superior firepower, as the defence doesn't look right, the midfield is shocking and the manager isn't telling them to do anything.

Build up play is embarrassing, there’s no game plan to it at all, and going so defensive after Orient was scandalous.

Unless he drastically changes he will not last long, JR was definitely thinking what the fuck after those last 10 minutes.

Plus side is that new lad from Leeds was good; and Macca was decent again too.

We started time wasting after 30 mins when we went 1 up, and after we went 2 up the time wasting was embarrassing and surprised only one player (Gordon) was booked for time wasting.

I hate it when we try to hold on like yesterday. We were just hopelessly punting it forward. Keeping shape is the right thing to do, but it's also necessary to retain possession and sharpen the passing when the opposition overcommit. We should take our time over throw-ins and goal-kicks but that should be accompanied by everyone pushing their positions up the pitch.

What I'm seeing at the moment is a manager with a basic/undeveloped view of various areas of the game. I was listening to the radio on the way home and they were chatting to Kellan Gordon asking him what was different about today's performance that led to the win. He didn't have anything of note to say. I accept that he perhaps isn't the sharpest tool in the box (sorry Kellan), but anything useful that had been directed in the dressing room I'm fairly certain he'd have parroted it. Therefore, I tentatively suggest that we had a very basic game plan, if any.

Our main hope is that Maynard, Cook and Rose can get about 20 goals each and our defence can regain some form. I can't see how anything good will come from the midfield due to the lack of quality but also the lack of tactics.

2 poor teams, 2 poor managers, a poor game and poor tactics.

Couldn’t believe just how bad Scunthorpe were, had mansfield played anyone (sorry!) that could actually play football we’d have been easily beaten.

There is no midfield or game plan, they don’t know what they’re doing.

The tactics are infuriating - time wasting and negative play was poor, everyone coming back for a corner drives me absolutely nuts (flitcroft did that also), as conker said the lad from leeds was good and Bishop was a welcome return too.

It’s hard as I should have been enthusiastic after a 2-0 win, but there was more questions raised than answers solved.

Dempster actually left CJ uptop for corners, cue sarcastic clapping from the fans.

We actually have two players who are the 'quality' type players in the middle, Mellis and Khan - Mellis still doesn't look fit and Khan looked good everytime he's played but Dempster has decided to leave him to rot on the bench the last two games.

It's pretty obvious we have a really talented team that is being ridiculously poorly managed, and I think the tactical set up of the midfield is the main problem.

Also Conrad Logan didn't get tested yesterday but he should be claiming anything in that six yard box, no excuses. Bobby being back in the net will make us better.
