The state of football nowadays eh? Small village sides like Barnet and Mansfield throwing around the kind of money that the big, historical sides like Luton and Cambridge can only dream about.

Sad state of affairs I tell you.

Aww c'mon, we just want to join in with the massive clubs, in getting intoxicated on delusions of grandeur and spilling cash down the drain like a drunken sailor.

In 119 years we've not had two groats to rub together. Turns out that the family silver was hidden beaneath the mattress all along and now we're hungry to trade our obscurity in for pots and shields. So get ready and get out the way!

Not sure we've actually bid for Watkins. Evans isn't stupid and I'm sure knows he's worth much more than 350k. He's not confirmed who the player is regardless of what the Chadvert says. We will see.

I don't think you can include perrenial Non leaguers like Cambridge as big Historical clubs.

It does seem like a cheeky bid if it is the case that the bid is Watkins hopefully we can also use the money for more attainable players but I think Exeter fans are being deluded with a 7 figure fee.

I suspect this is Evans being a wind up merchant. I doubt the bid is for Watkins. Surprised that Mansfield are throwing that kind of money around though!

I don't get why people think this, money is stupid in this game now and you only have to look at past transfers to see that if a player is good enough they can easily go for 7 figures, especially if they are still young and have future potential to go much further and for much more and certainly if they are a striker.

Not only that a club should want more for them if it's a club they are in direct competition with for a play-off spot.

At the end of the day a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay but that doesn't mean a lge 2 club shouldn't ask for 7 figures for a potential superstar who is under contract in todays transfer market even if it means he remains unsold.

Whatever it was, I'm sure it wasn't serious.

I think?

Either way radford isn't messing around.

Evans 4 wins and a draw means manager of the month

Actually.

Having reviewed this, it appears Exeter have won all 4 games this month without conceding.

Paul Tisdale, help yourself.

Game on!

10 games unbeaten and only 2 conceded.

It's "not bad".
