A local game for local people, we'll have no trouble here!

Can't wait, love a trip to The Den (providing Darren fucking Byfield isn't playing) and will be making the trip with a few lads this weekend. I'm not massively positive of a result given our recent form, we seem to have gone off the boil, but 1500+ Gills and 10k 'Wall fans should make for a lively atmosphere even if it will be the usual "caravans", "towerblocks" fare. At least there should be a level of mutual intelligibility between the sets of fans, no idea what some of these Northern types are on about.

How's Bomber got your lot playing at the moment?

I get the feeling we're going to get absolutely penetrated in this game.

I think they're taking advantage of an expected big away following by charging £26 a ticket, which may well affect the Gills following. I'll settle for a draw, although with Loft out of the team, we could sneak a win!!

It's £26 for every visiting team as far as I know

I Don't think it is.
According to a 'Wall fan who posted on our club forum they charge £23 for the clubs with a smaller following. Fleetwood was the example he used.

They don't come much smaller than Fleetwood.

I always look forward to visiting the land of the extra digit and never ending roundabouts.

The only ground in the country where the entire home crowd get in on one family ticket.

Well then, an actual away following for once!

We feel your pain, had two sub-100 followings at ours already this season, plus another three under 200.

I have a funny feeling that we may win this.
Absolutely no reason for feeling that way at the moment, other than maybe a few after work beers.
Is Joe Martin likely to play? if so we should target him with Jackson and maybe McGlashan's pace.

My after work beers lead me to believe that you could target Joe Martin with Jan Molby after a night on the kebabs and still come out on top.

Never expected that, a well deserved win don't think any would have begrugded a couple more goals if we had took our chances

Geez, where did that come from?

Sounds like sending-offs in our last 2 games have affected both results somewhat. But nice to hear that the victory was deserved despite that fact. Gonna be a better Xmas now than looked likely after Burton.

Merry Xmas everybody.

I love the 'new den' but couldn't be there today because of family issues.

Fantastic result for us, especially after Burton last week.

Think Harris's inexperience/naivete is starting to shine through a little. We've faced some of the better sides in the division recently and have not started well enough to deserve a result over 90 minutes. Big improvements in the 2nd half, even with ten men, but if Harris continues to stick O'Brien on the wing to accomodate the limited Gregory then we will continue to be outdone by sides who have a little bit more about them than the Colchesters, Swindons of this league. Ferguson on the flank, Upson/Fred on the other side of midfield, O'Brien playing off Morison. That is how we've played our best football this season.
