Newport v FGR take 2 Tue 6/3

So after waiting till everyone had crossed the bridge, paid the toll and were there at Dave before deciding to call the first game off, I'm hoping that it will actually happen this time.

Newport seem to have lost a bit of sting after their fantastic Cup effort, knowing our luck they'll have refound it by tonight. Labadie is out for them apparently, which is good news cos he's a top player, but they're still strong all over the pitch and bullied us 4-0 at TNL earlier in the season. We've pretty much completely rebuilt our side since then, and are a much tougher unit now.

Should be a proper battle, given our away form would definitely take a point. COYR.

Made a cocky prediction of a 4-2 away win on our forum for the original fixture, based on not much more than drink taken but in reality would definitely settle for a point. Hard to know how the enforced longer break will affect us, not sure how much training they could get in indoors.

Dan Butler show so far, he's scored at either end in the space of three minutes Out crappy iFollow service not working again so that's all I know.

Not any more, got back in to it from a scramble at a corner but then failed to deal with a long throw. Getting more in to it despite being behind though. Might get back on terms second half. Take a six-all now

Dragged ourselves back into it, dominated possession this half but Newport spurned several decent chances so if we get away with the draw that'll be a relief.

And we did hang on, not without the odd scare. Doidge had to go off with an injury early second half, hope that's nothing serious. Have to be happy with the away point, especially with County's missed chances.

Good point for FGR, that effectively makes it 3 wins ahead given their GD.

Just read Doidge only a knock which is a relief. Crept up a place too. Not a bad night's work.

Mad game ... 3-3 a fair result. Oh for a decent defensive midfielder and better service to Hayes and Amond. Oh well, on a bottom three budget comfortable mid-table is a lot better than last year's skin of the teeth antics and it will be really interesting to see what we do with the FA Cup money.

I predict Forest Green will only get stronger next season if Vince continues to back Cooper. Predictably there are people on our forum who have gone into melt-down and it won't be long before they start calling for Flynn's head for not winning every single game. What is it it about the modern football fan? We cannot afford delusions of grandeur. Delusions of adequacy is the best we can expect.

Odd that the heroics against Spurs have derailed our form so badly. That said, we were never really going to each the play-offs with such a limited squad.

Exciting game, quality not the best especially at the back but showed good spirit and will definitely take a point. Good to hear Doidge is not too bad, can't afford him out although more players are chipping in with goals now, including captain fantastic Collo.

Not safe yet need another two or three wins
I reckon.
