I tend to watch us away more than at home because of my location: but there are three games I will not be attending in the coming season.

FGR, Cheltenham and Barnet.

All three clubs seem to have a strange dislike of our support, so they will not be getting any of my dosh next season.

Any away games you'll be boycotting?

I'll be avoiding most. After extensive research I've discovered that, not only is Division 4 football terrible to watch, I also get extremely fed up when I visit another town in this gridlocked country, only to see my team lose again.

Going away is largely like shagging a mates ex missus: you've fancied it for a while, put in the effort and then spend the next forever trying to avoid the experience again.

I prefer away games to home games tbh, Mansfield seemingly do their best to alienate and isolate home fans, and make it as difficult as possible for home fans to enjoy themselves (though we have made a decent effort last season).

I can't see myself at Forest Green, Newport or Colchester any time soon.

More than certain to be at Accrington, Carlisle, Chesterfield, Convetry, Crewe, Grimsby, Lincoln, Morecambe, Notts County and Port Vale!

As things stand you won't see me at a home game. Will do majority of aways though I doubt i'll return to the likes of Swindon, Morecambe or Exeter after already ticking them off and them not being particularly decent trips.

FGR, Barnet, Colchester and Cambridge are my 4 new ones though.

Doubt I will go many, the days of me never missing a game are a distant memory nowerdays.

Will try to go Carlisle and Notts as I enjoy them as days out. Not been FGR or Exeter so maybe them. Will also go to Vale.

125 consecutive games and counting for me.

111 league and cup games, and 14 friendlies.

Got two babies now... well a 2 year old and 1 year old so don't get away like i did a couple of years back (Thank f**k considering our away form over the past couple of years). Vale is like an away day anyway as i am from Leicestershire.

A couple of grounds I haven't done yet like Newport and Cambridge I would like to do. Will probably do Crewe, Notts County, Mansfield and Coventry as local.

Based on the fact we know we are away first game of the season I would like it to be one of the mentioned!

Two big birding trips this season meant I was considering not getting the season ticket. As it's turned out, I'll only be missing home games against Stevenage (seen enough of them over the last 10 years), Notts, Lincoln & Grimsby. I can live with that - especially as it'll keep the banter in check and I'll still see their amazing home followings.

Disappointed that I'll probably miss our FA Cup campaign and away trips to Port Vale and Chesterfield (both new grounds) but can live without another visit to Luton, Yeovil or Cheltenham. I expect to make a good few of the rest, starting with an Exeter/Bristol double header to kick off the season's travels.

The fixture list has been particularly kind to me over Xmas and New Year, when we're usually away on our search for sun - Home to Barnet and Crewe followed by a short trip across to CUFC.

Carlisle.

It's a bit of a poke.
Yeah. Sod that one. Did Carlisle on a good old Football Special back in the early 70s. FA cup game. Memorable for the windows going in when a passing train went by with a door open at Crewe. Scared me shitless.

Edit. It was 1984

Doubt I'll be doing the Tuesday night trips to Morecambe or Luton due to work. As for the rest it'll depend how the season goes.

Port Vale (H) kick off time may change due to Wales v Australia rugby at 5pm. Likewise, FGR (H) clashes with England v Wales rugby at 4.45pm and Luton (H) with Wales v France at 5pm.
Carlisle (H) will def change as clashes with Wales v S Africa at 2.45pm. Not sure what time / day this will be rearranged to, maybe Friday night.

Is there any reason why it's always our games against you that get moved due to Rugby? I'm sure the last 3 have been moved to 1pm.

Missing the opener against Grimsby now as it is my missus' birthday. I'm boycotting home games anyway but would have been out for a few beers otherwise. Will miss Newport away over August bank holiday also as i'm in Spain at a mates wedding.

Maybe the Carlisle game will not be moved. Today we announced that the Luton home game is brought forward to 7.45pm Friday 16 March from Sat 17 March. Coventry home also rearranged to 3pm Good Friday 30 March. No mention today of Carlisle game.

I'm not getting a season ticket this year due to my wife having a baby earlier this year - I expect to miss 7 or 8 minimum which makes it just as good value to buy each match ticket as it comes.

I imagine I'll end up going to around 10-12 homes and 2 or 3 away.

You L1 champagne Charlie's maybe haven't heard too much about us in Newport. We continually raise the bar when it comes to tinpotedness. I'm sure we'll manage to piss off several clubs over the course of the forthcoming season. Get in line fella.

Our games against Grimsby have been moved to 1pm's (do two hour differences really make *that* much difference?!), Exeter moved back to Good Friday and Cambridge away has now been moved to the Friday night for some reason. There was a bit of confrontation last time we were there outside their social club but nothing overly serious that I saw.

Absolutely not, anyone who wants to sip a few will then just buy from the local offy or supermarket thus doing the pubs out of money AGAIN!
