My last visit to the Sixfields stadium was one to forget considering we managed to loose to a 90th minute overhead kick, however the place and the ground were pretty much perfect for what your looking for in a League 2 ground. The seating was ample in the away end (for most clubs), the view was unobstructed, The toilets were clean and the food was very good as far as food at football stadiums go. Outside the ground there are a few pubs which is a must for most away fans and as well as this there are fast food franchises dotted around the outside of the club which is good if you have just had a long trip. The thing that annoyed and disappointed me the wost were the fans that stood/sat in the top of the stand adjacent to the away end. Apart from being not very good vocally there continued attempts to mock us as away fans were poor and very childish and the numerous wanker signs and middle fingers were rather funny especially when they were coming from 60 year old men surrounded by kids dressed in there very best tracksuits to turn up and watch the football. As our coach pulled out at the end of the game we were bombard with kids as young as 7 making vile gestures towards the fans as well as adults as well who seemed to find it some what amusing. It didn't really bother me, but to some away fans who just come for the football seemed to be rather annoyed by it and not to mention the impressionable effect it had on the younger members of the coach who probably thought it seemed quite glamorous and would want to replicate doing so for there club at home matches which nobody wants. I know most clubs have fans like these, but I have been to nearly every ground across League 2 and so far these fans have been the most repulsive. This thread is only aimed at small percentage of the fans as the rest of the fans in and out the ground were friendly enough to all of the away supporters, but I just wandered if any other home fans or away fans have had the same experience I had?
