My last trip to the retail park and strange ground built in a hole was a 2-1 Win in the season we went up from this league.

No idea about the score although you should get 3, whether we ourscore that depends on your defence I guess

At some point we will win a game of football, just not convinced it will be this Saturday.
Having said that if Kewell doesn't make too many changes, if the full backs make a concerted effort to not let crosses happen on each attack and the keeper doesn't drop any clangers , then, maybe if the forwards carry on from last week we can at last get three points.

For possibly the first time this season (since opening day v Colchester at least) we are facing a side with possibly less confidence than our own, given Northampton's last couple of results and the fact we didn't actually lose last week and managed to score three times.

And yet... since that opening day (0-0) we have conceded 3,4,3,3,3,5,3 in the league, an utterly bonkers run. It has to end sometime, right??

Our keeper's confidence is zero, the midfield is lightweight, and last season's top performers have failed to turn up so far. We do have a couple of jokers in the pack going forward, but there is only so much they can do when you are conceding as many as we are. IF we can cut out the silly mistakes, we might get something here. Big if though!

Think we will either win in a high-scorer, or get battered.

The last time I went to Northampton was a few days after we’d been hammered 7-0 at Man City. The piss taking was more fun than the actual match.

People laugh about not winning a match ever again, but we’re so easy to score against, it doesn’t seem that funny. Get the ball in our half, and either our defenders will let you have enough time to pick your cross, and then even if it’s shit our “keeper” will give you enough time for your forwards to score.

Northampton should be one of the decent away days this season but our following will be shite.

Really? I’m sure we’ll start winning eventually.

Let’s be honest you can only really go on past form at this stage and ours is horrific.

Naturally I’m hopeful we can turn it around, rarely panic and know it takes considerable time to turn a desperate situation around.

What makes me smile is the fan or fans of every team we have played have predicted a defeat since the 0-0 home opener. Regardless of no wins and conceding bucketloads of goals each and every game someone always predicts the tide will suddenly turn against their side. Each and every time. Jokes

No idea if Hewitt is fit, but if he is I'd like to see him and Milsom in the middle of the park (despite his poor start to the season) - I think they offer us our best chance of some semblance of solidity there. And I'd play Boldewijn on the left, he's been most effective so far cutting in and hitting them with his right. I'm not sure him and Evina on the same side would be particularly great defensively, but sod it - let's go for it. Also probably time to give Bris a break.
