Yay the forums back!

Less confident about this after FGR. Although in the past Notts have always been better when they aren’t top (Alladyce season aside)

Hopefully Jones returns and we will be back at full strength.

We will probably be without the following first choice players:

Stephens
Brindley
Johnson
Weston
JCR
Akinde
Tarpey
Coulthirst

Our central midfield will be a 19yo and a 20yo. Our striker scores 5 per season. Until we get a few back then expect us to try and keep possession and hold out for a draw. If JCR, Weston, Brindley and Coulthirst/Akinde are fit in time then we will give you a decent game.

Do Barnet have any injuries?

It's like the Tranmere fans last season.

I was aware of the other injuries, but what's up with Coulthirst and JCR? Their absences v Cov seemed a bit of a surprise?

Coulthirst has hamstring injury and came off at half time against Wycombe, some are saying he will be fit for Sat. No idea on JCR other than he failed a fitness test that morning.

I have a bad feeling on this one. I can see the fans will get on the players backs if there is no early goal. Barnet are a useful side, even with a strong injury list.

If we win this, the last two games were 'a blip', all good in da hood

We lose or even draw this, and I say the 'wheels have come off' somewhat

Won't be there, drinking beer at the Fantastic Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival. That should help win, lose or draw

Sounds like Coulthirst will be missing for Barnet. First goal crucial in this one I think, if we get it we could hopefully get 2 or 3, but if Barnet nick one I can see it being another frustrating afternoon ala Forest Green..

You'll beat us lads, don't worry. Our first team is fairly competitive however no team could handle our injury list right now and we're down to the youth.

We'll give it a good go for a draw. We have a solid central defense which hasn't been affected by injuries and our young midfield players are good at keeping the ball. Our problem will be going forward with a powder-puff attack.

If Barnet's main goalscorer for the past few season is fit then they should manage to score in this game but I havn't seen his name mentioned on this thread, I believe his name is 'Pen'.

Notts were lucky today. We only just about got that over the line at the end. We should have put them to bed multiple times in the second half. Not sure why the Steads was ruled out for offside.

Barnet are a good side. Probably the best football team I've seen us play this season. When Akinde is back they should fly up the table

Couldn't go today, but was all about the win and we got it, so delighted.

Seems like it should've been more comfortable, but can't complain really.

At the fantastic Robin Hood beer festival so also missed the game. It was all about about making sure we got the win and making the last two games a blip

I know you're all taking the piss out of us mentioning injuries, but it's genuinely all we can say at the moment. It's 8 first team players - what more can we do?

We'll lose to Mansfield midweek and then again to Yeovil at the weekend as we'll be knackered with no players to rotate. Can Chesterfield and FGR carry on being shit too please?

No squad in Div 2 can cope with that kind of injury list.
We should have romped it, but at 2-1 fully expected us to concede, especially with 7 mins extra time.
It has to be said that we have become a tough side to beat , not a great side, but a very competitive gritty outfit. We deserved to win, should have been out of sight after 7:0 mins but fair play to a competitive Barnet who are an improvement on last season and when 352 gave us plenty of problems.

We're reasonably competitive in spite of our injury problems. But rather than constantly feeling sorry for ourselves, I think we should instead focus on how we improve what we've got available. If we don't start picking up points, we will be bemoaning our injuries in the Conference.

We're a soft touch from set pieces and crosses. This is entirely down to defensive organisation and is something we need to improve immediately. Our defensive unit is not well drilled enough to defend balls into the box, and whether it be Stephens or Ross, our keeper is not commanding enough.

Start to sort these areas out and even a small improvement will see us start to pick up a few points.
