So with the fans crying out that we need to bolster our defensive options we go and sign an attacking midfielder from Leicester on loan.

In honesty the lad looks decent and it will be another prong in our 6 man attack but honestly, really!?!?
No nothing about York really apart from it being a great weekend away. As fat as their team goes..erm...Berrett, thats about it!

A win here would see us breathing above the mid table, with Notts though, who knows!

Really think our fans all wanting a defender are missing the point a bit. We concede loads of goals because we play such an attacking style, not sure the personnel matter that much.

We're a bit of an odd side so far this season. You look at the players we have and think they should be OK at this level, but we've hardly set the world alight. We've beaten Yeovil and Newport, who'll probably be near the bottom come May, and we've got a couple of hard-fought points, but that's about it. You'd think that at some point it will click, but we said that all last season and it never really happened.

I'm traveling more in hope than expectation for this, but there's no reason we can't get a result if we play as well as we can.

Sheehan has signed so there's the defender.
I just think we need someone with a good head at the back to help the rest of the defence.
Edwards is sort of that player but he is far from his fitness when he was with us last time round.

We tend to play crap at home and you'll have plenty of the ball so its not your typical away game

One of the most dominant halves I've ever seen, so fully expect York to get something.

A 1-0 battering, that. We were a joy to watch for an hour, made it a bit more nervy than we needed to in the end but weren't ever in any real danger.

York were really bad. Probably should have scored a lot more but I'll take comfortable and convincing 1-0 wins every week.

Teams are gonna find it really hard at ML I think, we've made a big pitch even bigger this season and had loads of space first half, even with York basically fielding eleven defenders.

They were poor but perked up a bit when they worked out that allowing Aborah, Burke and Noble as much time on the ball as they wanted was only going to end one way.

He was dreadful, even putting the goal aside. Nearly gifted us a couple more trying and failing to come for crosses.

For the last 2 seasons most goals conceded were low into the corner with his dive starting AFTER the ball had passed him and your right he seemed stuck to his line when crosses were coming in

So far this season signing Flinders has been an improvement on our keeping options. He has won us points in some great performances however I worry you are right about his uncertainty to catch a ball!

Yesterday he cost us a goal thanks to a stupid mistake and generally bad decisions.we could have lost by alot more!

On the game I thought county played terrific football and put York to shame. Totally controlled the game and have been the best team I have watched this season. York struggling to even get possession frequently wasted it with long balls and could not muster many shots atall. We were very poor and showed few glimpses of positivity in second half but all too late.More quality is needed if we are going to win games this season.

On a high note York came home lucky to only lose 1 nill!
