Another month that's disrupted because of fucking international breaks.

Brighton (H) - Of course we play Brighton the week after they've just spanked Norwich. I don't think we'll quite roll over as easily, but it'll be convincing. 0-3 loss.

Birmingham (A) - A game against a side going for the same objective as us. I'd fancy it at home, but not at their place. 2-1 loss.

Reading (A) - Another side that are in a similar position to us, and I expect Stam to bore us all to death with them having 80% off the ball and 75% of it in their own half. 0-0 draw.

1 point out of a possible 9. Tough month.

An inconsistent month ahead I reckon.

Reading (H) - This should be our first game under a new manager and we have a very good record against these lot, don't think they've beaten us at the DW for around 12 years. Add that to hopefully the classic new manager bounce and I'm optimistic. 2-1 win.

Barnsley (A) - Again no tempting fate but we've got a good record against these as well, won our last three at Oakwell and never lost there. Having said that, they seem a tough outfit despite losing Mawson and Isgrove so I'll go for a draw. 1-1

Huddersfield (A) - Monday night and I think this might be a bridge too far for us. I can see this probably being the first game of the season we lose by more than a single goal. 2-0.

4 points out of 9. Need to be picking up at least that if not more considering the likes of Newcastle and Villa await in December.

Not good at predicting so won't bother trying. If we play like we did in October against all the big boys there is no reason why we can't pick up 9 points but this is Preston North End so we will probably lose the lot.

Cardiff (H) - Sorted out our home form now and although Warnock has them mostly on the right track I'd hope for a professional win - 2-0

Leeds (A) - I think we'll win this but it'll be another ground out one ala Rotherham/Bristol City. 1-0 but I'd probably take a draw in our only away of the month.

Blackburn (H) - Think we'll end the month in convincing fashion. Only thing against that is the league cup a few days later. 3-1

Hull (A) - You just never know do you. They don't have a squad and have lost 6 in a row? Our best chance of a semi final in a decade or more. I'm not tempting fate so I won't predict.

Norwich (A) - Not exactly the best time to be playing these. Loss.
Newcastle (H) - We'll give it a good go but reckon the quality will shine through. Loss.
Rotherham (A) - Got to win this given the likelihood of us struggling in the previous two fixtures but you never know down there. Draw.
Liverpool (A) - Loss.

A nice easy month :err:

If we can get through the three league games with 4 points or so I won't be too disheartened. Got Villa, Brighton and Reading after that though...

I've already written off the Rotherham and Burton games as defeats.

Wolves (A) - DRAW. Bogey ground for us, never seem to do well there but after our last run of games I'm hoping we can at least avoid defeat. Potential for this one to be interesting if they appoint Nigel Pearson!

Rotherham (H) - WIN. Hopefully 3 points, can see it being tight. 1-0 maybe, we don't concede many at home.

Norwich (H) - DRAW. They seem to be all at sea at the moment but they're far from being a bad team, with 4 weeks until this game there's plenty of time for them to improve.

5/9 would be average but a solid foundation to build on, any more and I'd be happy.

Blackburn (h) - Got a damned good record against these, and though they've picked up, I can't see it lasting. Will be a dull as fuck game though. 1-0 to us.

Brighton (a) - No chance with the way they're playing, we're not bad and like being without the ball of late, but I can't see us getting anything from this. 1-3 loss.

Cardiff (h) - Odd team are Cardiff, but with Warnock in charge, they'll be doing better, still think we should be winning this game though, I wouldn't be surprised at a draw... 2-1 win.

Burton (A) - Draw, they're tough to beat at home and faring probably better than anyone expected so far

Wigan (H) - Draw, we'd never beaten them (albeit only played them about 6 times) before winning 4-1 at the DW last game of last season so a bogey team of sorts, would be hoping for 3 points but would probably be satisfied with one

Forest (H) - Win, usually do well against them at Oakwell and they've been toss so far this season

5 points out of 9 would be a good return, wouldn't be surprised if we got 9 or 0 though. Anything can happen in this division.

Wigan (A) - Possibly our biggest bogey side, can't remember beating them since the playoffs, surely have done since. Draw.
Burton (H) - Must win really, and I think we'll have enough. Win.
Bristol City (H) - Think they are a more rounded team than us, and capable of scoring goals. Draw.

5/9 wouldn't be terrible, but this is a month where 9/9 could be achievable.

The other one being Sheffield Wednesday, Yep I can't see a win in any of those games.

Wolves (A) - LOSS - We're on Sky. We seem to enjoy losing games on Sky. Plus we're shit.

Rotherham (H) - WIN - Surely even we can't lose to these jokers?

Norwich (H) - LOSS - An absolute spanking.

3/9 - Back in the relegation scrap.

We have. December 2003. Won up there 2-0. Nicky Forster scored a couple.

Wigan (A) Draw
Burton (H) Win
Bristol City (H) Draw

That was the last time you beat us at the DW I think. Don't get me started on Nicky Forster by the way. Cheating (insert expletive here). We've beaten you god knows how many times these last 10 years and you still haven't paid us back for that playoff 2nd leg.

Sheffield Wednesday (A) - Lose. We always seem to draw at Hillsborough, but not this time.

Nottingham Forest (H) - Win. They can't defend which is helpful given our lack of goals, hopefully we can things tight enough at the back to get a win.

QPR (H) - Win. I'm feeling optimistic for some reason so I'll go for another win here.

(H) Ipswich - We tend to struggle against Mcarthy teams but they aren't going too well this year i'll say we'll win this one
(A) Fulham - Could go either way with Fulham you never know how they're going to play, we turned them over 3 times last season though so im going for a win again here
(A) Wolves - Think these will have picked up abit with a new man in charge by this point - Draw

Would be delighted if this was the case would keep us right in the mix

We should be beating the likes of Huddersfield, Bristol City & Brentford. Suppose I’ll be satisfied with 7 points.

WHY "should you be beating" teams like that ? They just as likely feel the same about Birminham. (Mind... I do have a soft spot for Brentford. They were my dad's team before they moved to Newcastle, and I've always got on well with people from Huddersfield for some strange reason)

I was being ironic. I know they are a difficult set of fixtures.

7 points from 9 against three good sides, can't argue with that.

9 points was achievable. Would never have thought we'd be third in the league at this point in the season. Dreading the manager of the month curse for our tough December fixtures.

6 points and a pressure-free game at Anfield. Take that, move on. December gets no easier but ride that out and things should level out.

4pts from them and another point against Wolves, suppose I can't complain
