After Saturday this game became more meaningful.

Macc slowly improving, Crewe started well but have been shite recently.

Probably a draw but I feel we can sneak our usual Gresty Road away win.

I'm not overly concerned about the last couple of results. I'm not sure where the pre-season optimism came from for our fans. We'll tread water as expected. Saw enough against MK to say we'll get results, just hope it'll be enough to keep our heads above water.

Saying that, long term injuries of Pickering and Green is a big deal. Green in particular is massively under rated. Need a couple of big loan signings.

Can we just have a penalty shoot out for the points instead please?

Such disdain for Cheshire's own el clasico. All the build up, us looking to avenge the 2015 Cheshire Senior Cup defeat, you just looking for your standard 3 points against us. It's what coined the phrase super Saturday.

Where's Efe Sodje these days anyway?

Got a silly feeling we'll win today. Everybody lump on Crewe if you know what's clever

Important win that, given we'd not scored or won since the opening day. Good to see we can still beat the teams that will likely finish in the bottom half at home like last season.

Glad to see Bowery get off the mark as well, just need Miller to get going.

Stats are a bit concerning though, 11 shots on target for Macc, 23 total. More possession, more corners. Does that suggest they were the better team overall? Interested to know what people think.

Nah. Surprised at them stats. Can't think of a big save from Garratt and I don't think Macc ever really looked like pulling it back once we went ahead. Thought we looked comfortable and our third goal was superb.

That said, our defence is inherently wobbly and I still won't be trusting it against better sides.

I though the new lad looked poor, didn't look fit, looked abit heavy to me.

Was a pretty routine win I thought, Macc had chances but nothing clear cut. Kirk, Bowery and Ray were superb for us.

We looked short of ideas. No creativity and constantly resorted it to booting it to Smith who barely won anything.

But more dangerous when Blissett came on. Defensively very poor. The mobility of crewe undid us time after time.

And yet, take out the horror show at Colchester and the team have conceded 3 goals in the other 6 games.

Got some tough tests coming up that will really show us where the team sits. Notts County, the Vale, Swindon, Lincoln. If we can get through that lot relatively unscathed, things should be ok. Big if though.

I fear for Macc this season, bar the quick winger napa??? They look very flat and just very average. Alot of long aimless balls up to the big lad up top, who just seems big, not much else.

With the Mansfield game being off, Cheltenham A and Vale H, are two very winnable games next, which would put us in a decent position going into them games. That being said we don't have brilliant records away at Cheltenham and homes vs Vale.

We're just hoping for the natural resolution of Askey leaving Salop and coming back home to Macc.

This is why he's stayed at Macc for the past 30 years. It's all he knows, having been there for 4 decades. He should have just said to the local paper that he was 'flattered' and stayed, like for the previous 50 years.

Interview in Macc Wetherspoons.

Blower: Mark I need a manager who doesn't encourage the fans by telling them stuff.

Yates: Give me a 3 year deal and I've your back bro.

Blower: Mint. Don't play Askey's players as they got into my grill when I didn't pay them.

Yates: We may go down.

Blower: No dramas fella, Askey will get sacked by Salop and take the heat off you. Plus, Amar didn't want to get promoted anyway.

Vale and notts county arnt tough games there piss easy wins. Vale are fucking awful away and slow as fuck at the back. Pope can score goals but needs service and doesnt get it. I havent seen notts county play but there getting thumped by sides i expected to struggle i presume there new players need time to gel.
