Blackpool at home for us in the COC 1st round. Reckon we can win that one, at least it's not Wolves or MK like it has been for the last 12000 years

Bradford at home, wanted an away game personally so it is a bit 'meh' that tie for us

Whereas had it been, you'd already be looking at the second round.

You beat us at our place a couple of times. Clive Platt scored against us, I was in a Cyprus bar watching with some Wolves fans

Away at Wednesday. Not a bad away trip at all for our fans, that.

Home to Chesterfield... One of the more favourable ties available to us.

I think it's been at least 3 years since we last played an away game in this competition. We seem to always be home (granted we get knocked out early so we haven't played that many ties)

Love the Valley, great memories from League One so very happy with it.

Plus it's probably one of the cheapest we could have had.

Very happy with Charlton away. Ipswich away would have been my first choice but this would have been high up on the list.

Welcome back to the football league :bg1:

I've only actually been to the Den once, and that was just outside it. Looks quite decent to be fair. I'm more concerned about the reputation surrounding the club... Seen enough documentaries and videos on their antics to last a lifetime. Not sure if trouble will be more or less likely as its a relatively lowkey game.

I'll still go, mind. Just brush the dust off the Luton Away Survival Kit™, avoiding getting too close to the police horses that they love to touch and drink heavily afterwards to forget you ever stepped foot there in the first place. Should be OK.

Fleetwood away, could be a lot of mini summer breaks to Blackpool being booked now, keep off late rooms for a while !

Swindon away.

We're good away, so we're through already.

Birmingham home. Don't have much of a shot in that one. Might help the coffers a little though.

Rotherham away - much appreciated by the Yorkshire U's. Pity the dugout is so far away but we'll give the obnoxious duo a warm greeting.

Hope the away fan segregation is a little more relaxed outside than the ground than it was for my only other visit - Rotherham v Bradford in the Cup when Bury got a bit wet.

Just need an away match in the NW (ideally Carlisle or Morecambe) to open the league season and my sheepdog watching plans will fall into place. Knowing my luck, we'll be in the SW or home and compromises will be necessary.

Fulham at home, could be a decent crowd.

Doubt it - we've played them several times before, not glamorous enough to tempt the casual fan, and we're likely to get dumped out.

QPR at home. Happy with that, we won't win but it should bring in a bit of money.

Yes, a very good draw for us. We've never really been bothered with progressing in the League Cup so a home game on the tv (surely?) against one of the biggest teams in the competition at this stage should be good.

So come on, what's everyone's record in the LC?

Can any team beat our 8 games 8 losses statistic?

Accrington have got Hull at home - our fans are happy with that. Possibly on TV along with maybe Yeovil v QPR?
Is it Sky that show the early rounds of this cup?

We don't usually do very well in the League Cup but we beat Middlesbrough away a couple of seasons back so not quite as bad as Dagenham ;-)

No surprise that we are away from home. Since it moved to a single leg format in the early rounds, we have been drawn away from home 8 times out of 9 in round 1.

Ignoring our first two years back after promotion in 2005 when we won 3 out of 5 ties, we have only won 1 of the last 7, and that was against a Portsmouth team that were falling from the top flight to the bottom.

We've got Bristol City at home - League 1 Champions. Good test for us and should be a decent crowd for that one too. Perhaps a small chance for TV too - not many standout games really.

Man U don't enter this round so you and Yeovil are my bets for TV games as well. And, yes, it's Sky.

Strange competition where its seeding policy makes things as tough as possible for its member clubs, giving preferment to the premiershit. It's the League Cup FFS!
