Fixtures are out at 9am.
Comments and thoughts when they come out..... (please don't give us Stevenage again!)

Looking at my own schedule, those fixtures are wank.

Can’t do Crewe (a), Wimbledon and Sutton on Tuesday nights.

The super computer has us and Grimsby travelling to each other on Tuesday nights. Just a short trip then.

Dons away is a good one to get out the way early to be honest. They have a ridiculous record over the years against us since returning to the league, with scores of late goals, comebacks and general bastardry.

The fact we know them well is also a good thing, gets us up and running against a side who won't hold too many surprises.

Generally the fixtures have fallen well for me personally, with the away games I wanted to get to mostly being after Christmas when I should've moved further north and they'll all be a bit closer. Local game at Northampton on Easter Monday as well which isn't bad at all.

At least our two Tuesday night away trips are what we'd class as North.

Same with us and Bradford. Surely in this day and age they should be looking at trying to make more local games midweek? (not sure of the logistics of the computer or whatever)

Nothing like a welcome back to the EFL for Stockport than a home game against us.

Newport at home first game. We do have Doncaster, Crewe and Grimsby away in August.

Wimbledon away on 15th October and at home on 1st January is the ones a lot of Sutton fans would have looked for. With Crawley away on December 26th our festive fixtures have a non-league local derby feel.

Me yesterday and several times over the past few weeks: As long as we don't have Orient away on the opening day as I'm on holiday. :brill:

There's always a handful of these annoying ones. That's actually good for me though as it's one I'll 100% be able to get a ticket for.

In other news, they've chosen us as one of the sacrificial lambs by giving us Barrow away on a Tuesday at the end of October. Guaranteed to be sideways snowing and gale force winds while the rest of the country is having an oddly mild late Autumn evening.

Donny away on Easter Monday though, we'll have that. Is the away allocation still around 3.5/4k?

Looking at past seasons, think you could have predicted that.

Rochdale away first. Happy with that, fairly local and a winnable game. Could be a messy few days around Christmas, Walsall away 17th, world cup final 18th, Stockport away 26th. Let's hope the kids don't want much for Xmas.

In fairness I don't think anyone in the league will sell out our away end this season considering we can give up to around 4k to away fans now.

If Stockport are doing well then they might bring a couple of thousand down in April, but no-one else is likely to break a 2k mark all year I'd imagine. Orient also visit in April but on a Tuesday, and they only brought about 1500 when flying high at the top of League One a few years so can't see them doing much better than that a level lower.

Gonna call it now......we're gonna batter you for 90mins and lose 0-1 courtesy of a John Rooney thunderbolt.

We took 3,300 in the cup last season so i’d imagine you’d get that if the plod allowed.

Relatively happy with those.

Away games i look out for - barrow tranmere bradford and doncaster all saturdays so that’s good news - also home fixtures over christmas - grimsby and northampton so should see good crowds then.

Relatively challenging start though - salford away, tranmere home, orient away, then wimbledon and stockport home - that’s a tough first 5 games.
