We have had the team of the year, and there will be a manager of the year which I suspect rightly Paul Hurst will win. but who is the owner of the year?

This need not be about throwing money at the club. I make a case for James Brent. I am not necessarily a massive supporter of his and he is no sugar daddy, but he made the key and very correct decision not to sack Adams when many fans were calling for this. It is a shame more owners have not stuck with their managers for longer. He also managed to get the money in place so we are now starting to rebuild the grandstand so we will a complete-ish stadium. Who is your choice and why?

Should have just called the thread 'Isn't our owner great'
Actually I don’t think he is great, but this year he made a very crucial decision, or more accurately non-decision which I wish more owners followed.

Should have just made a thread called "Plymouth are great and I don't get why no one else supports them"

Pretty embarrassing the meltdown from Plymouth fans calling for Adams and even Brent's head was earlier this season on social media. Same people are now lapping it up each week like they never did that. They'd just been promoted to a higher division as well, what did they even expect?

Respect for them not sacking Adams, but some of their fans really were melodramatic...

Should’ve sold to the One Direction kid when you had the chance.
Other than they didn’t have a pot to piss in yeah we could but then hoop doesn’t have a clue about how good our owners really are

As a member of the supporters cooperative you are not an objective voice and thus can frankly fuck off

I’m more objective than you will ever be but seeing as your tongue is still stuck up JR’s arse the fucking off is all yours

Homophobe

JR till I die... cons to champ what a hero
You don’t know the meaning of the word obviously. No one is doubting what JR achieved in getting the club back on its feet and giving it a Foundation to move forward problem is the club is still moving forward but some can’t seem to accept that it will happen without him.

Club still moving forward?! Oh yes the two relegations in three seasons from the championship to league 2 after he’d gone really shows we’ve moved forward

The Brent out brigade are certainly still there. A very noisy (and idiotic) minority.

Easy to blame the board isn’t it. They put the money in and have backed the manager every time he has asked you can’t really expect anymore than that but hey I bet you believed in that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that the last takeover bid had and I’m delusional.

Literally never supported the last takeover attempt, I deal in facts and by and large on the pitch we’ve been an absolute shambles since JR left, and yes the actions of the board do lead to what happens on the pitch.... hence Newcastle, Blackburn, Sunderland and the like been such a mess

No the appointment of the wrong manager is the problem the club is being run properly to ensure it has a healthy future unlike the others you quoted if we don’t progress next season and the board don’t take action against the manager then I might just take your comments seriously

Most tedious club award sewn up.

I know, boring as hell. I crave the excitement of not knowing exactly what grade of crook is running the club and at what point they'll shaft us. Miss all that.

You've misunderstood. You're not boring because you're fan owned, you're boring because you go on about it.

AL wins this hands down, simply for breaking the monotony and downward spiral we had become under tta/corney.

Seriously though, we haven' seen much of him yet but he is making all the right noises and hopefully we are at the very bottom and will begin the upward trend soon. Just need to keep our league 1 status for a very interesting summer

Not always so.

We’re 6th and Roland isn’t even in the top 24 owners in this league.

I did toy with extending this to the worst, but you and Blackpool fans would argue long and loud over that honour.
