Looks like Portsmouth have sold 2100+ tickets for this, I think they were initially given 2,500.
Not sure our decent home form will get us more than a point here but can we really settle for a draw when its these games Notts need to start winning.
Will Moniz attempt to actually keep a settled side or will he bring in some players who are smashing the reserve league.
Hopefully a decent game and I will go for a 2-2 draw, around 6,750 ish attendance.

I think it could be 7k ish. Pompey will get a few of the fair weather pies out imo.

Mrs family is from Pompey, i wont ever hear the last of it if they win this game so I hope for that reason alone we get at least a draw

Edit: its almost impossible to predict the side. I just hope that Moniz doesn't go for something really out there. Would love to see Spencer replace Stead but its unlikely. I'd also love to see Ronan Offside Murray on the bench as I think it would lift the crowd if little else

Always rated McLeod as a goal scorer. Became completely disinterested with us as the car-crash league one season unfolded, and left under a cloud after only half a season having netted impressively at the start. Managed to generate a lot of ill feeling towards him from much of our fan base. Expect he'll be on the end of some fairly hostile abuse tomorrow. Nailed on he'll score.

Whether our misfiring attack can score twice is open to question. If we continue our away form then certainly, but we must be due a duff away performance sooner or later.

1-1.

Alan Smith has just put in the worst 45 minute performance since the infamous Guy Branston showcase

Probably our worst performance of the season on the ball and we get our best win. Football, eh?

Pompey looked good but didn't create many chances for the amount of play they had. Ran out of ideas totally after we took the lead.

Was basically our recent defeat to Plymouth, but totally in reverse.

Alan Smith is an embarrassment to his profession. What a complete fucking chump. Worst player in our history.

Good win though, Jacob's a bit of a grumpy gills recently - it wasn't that bad. Sheehan and Aborah were superb.

Stop playing Stead and Smith and we might be very good.

Well that was disappointing if not surprising. Fair play to County. Waiting to see their second goal on the box later. Questions being asked about our keeper on the radio.

Until we can consistently turn possession in to chances and goals, we'll continue to stutter. Happy with 3rd spot in the table going in to November mind.

It was weird, looked like it was drifting wide then took a weird bounce or swerved at the last second.

Pompey's strikers were shite and the defender with long hair had a nightmare. Good midfield, though.

Have the real Notts County finally arrived to this season?

Smith was beyond shite. Not quite the worst performance I've ever seen but up there. Really was. Sheehan, Carroll, Edwards excellent. Aborah was our best player till his injury. Had a quiet second half.

We don't half create problems for ourselves giving the ball away in bad areas. Pompeys best chances came from us gifting away the ball. Our second goal was a bit fortunate but having seen us dominate games and draw, or even worse lose... It's about time we had one go our way

No, we're four unbeaten but played much better when we kept losing earlier in the season. More pragmatic, solid Notts maybe.

unbeaten in 4 and won 6 of our last 7 at home.

I hope we're wank forever.

They are about as meaningful as stats as the one that said we were 3rd in League 1 this time last year. Although we might not get relegated this season.

Wins are meaningless stats? Good stuff.

Seems like a well co-ordinated attack from them, although Smith wouldn't know one if it hit him in the face.

Of course, cheating is much worse if the woman has children. Infidelity I can get over BUT NOT IF SHE'S A MOTHER OF THREE.

Re: the game, I don't feel any better about Notts being good this season after yesterday but at least our home games seem to be entertaining, if not in a traditional footballing way.

Don't know if Smiff dobbed your missus too RavBish but he was the best player by a mile at Exeter, can't comment on the Pompy game as only got back from down the west country today.

Agree with RB - there was nothing positive in his contribution. The game completely passed him by

The home form is great for once, but I don't know if it is in spite of Moniz - some of his decisions continue to baffle, Stead at LM, the continued preference of others over Curtis Thompson, the sidelining of Spencer despite impressive form in the ressies, and the bizarre fetish for Jenner on the bench, for starters.

We're doing 'okay', but should be doing much better IMO.

To be fair to him on Spencer, he's been fucking shit every time he's been near the pitch for the first team.

He's had half a game here or there Jacob - I'm willing to bet that if he'd been played as much as Stead (and in the correct position) we'd be somewhat higher in the division

I'm not convinced. He hasn't looked right at all. Even if it's half a game here and there, I think you've got to show something to earn a place in the team.

I agree that he'd probably be better than Stead, but I'd personally like to see a Burke/McLeod/Campbell front three going forwards.

Found the comment from cook a little patronising to county which I found amusing. Really?

What'd he say?

A few of their fans were like that, heard a guy on the train after say 'players want to score goals like their first against Pompey'. As if that goes through your mind when it falls to you 25 yards out.
