According to Alan Nixon? (Well know journalist on Twitter apparently) Bolton and an unamed League 1 club have not paid player wages for November.

Any ideas on who it could be? Front runners would have to be us??

Coventry or Southend would probably be other good shouts.

Hope it's us, our players don't deserve to be paid.

Scunthorpe is a decent shout considering the gates to spend system going on there.

Aren't Fleetwood backed by a hugely wealthy chairman?
Yeah. They are being run a lot more sustainably now but I can't imagine Pilley would allow the players to go unpaid.

So are Scunny aren't they?

In other news relating to money, we didn't pay any agents any money at all.

Can't see it being Southend, they usually pay their players. Its normally the tax man they forget/choose not to pay.

Whole host of clubs could be in on this. Really interesting to see if it emerges who the club actually is.

Was out at a party last week with an Oldham fan and he's saying the future looks very bleak for them on and off the field. My money is on them being the club that failed to pay. Apart from Blackpool there's no other basket cases out there who wouldn't have paid their players but even Oyston's paid his players for ages.

Be bad whichever club it is the month before Xmas considering a lot of players (although some more) are on a few hundred a week like the rest of us.

We went nearly 9 months without paying our players back in 2010/11, I believe there has also been the odd month since where it's taken an extra month to pay the players. Yesterday was the latest 'case dismissed' in court after the HMRC bill was paid last week. Depending on who actually paid that tax bill it could well be Southend's players might have to wait a bit for their wages.

Also - are Blackpool actually a basket case in a non-bill paying sense? You never hear of them struggling to pay any bill or wages, their owner may be trying to shaft the fans but it seems he'd like to keep the club a going concern.

Just as I suspected. I'm really not surprised though, years of stagnation, faults with the new stand, support dwindling by the year, very expensive season tickets for adults given this league and Oldham's continued stagnation within it (£395-£420 for first time adult buyers is an absolute joke and £325-£350 for renewals has alienated the Oldham supporters I'm in regular contact with, that's far more than our season tickets!) paying off managers on a regular basis, not many notable player sales over the years (Jonson Clarke-Harris and James Tarkowski got them some bob but who else has been sold in the last 10 years?) it really isn't surprising when you take everything into account.

Worrying stat is, I've only seen four people manage Crewe (excluding Neil Baker's 6 games due to Dario recovering from heart surgery) Oldham could be on their fifth manager this year if they tell Dunn to step aside anytime soon, mental!

Oldham in big trouble? I've always found it a bit weird how they attract players on decent wages but only get 3,000 home fans. Does this have anything to do with the new stand?

Must be tough for them as they've stagnated in League One for about 18-19 years now haven't they with barely a sniff of getting out of it the right end, hopefully they can pull through without the dreaded administration as a 10 point deduction would probably be them down.

The whole club is in disarray at the minute and everyone has had enough. The worst thing about it is its not even stirring anger amongst the fan Base it's purely boredom, apathy and discuss interest.

People with season tickets are not even bothering going these days.

Simon corney has ripped the heart out of the club, broke up the land into pockets which have gradually been sold off and in creating the oec (oldham events centre) as a separate entity it's not even clear how the new stand will benefit us if the money making side ever gets opened.

This isn't the oldham I was brought up to support, both on and off the pitch. The staff are unlikeable, players mostly loanees and the tactics are ultra negative to the point fans celebrate having a shot like we used to celebrate a goal.

The club needs gutting personnel wise. If it meant new owners and a positive new manager who brings in a squad of oldham players not loanees I'd accept relegation now. It's more when now, not if

There's a link to the Oldham Chronicle on the Dale Board.

To be fair, your club is tweeting that they have one of these. It's an aerator. Or a mechanical bull.
From its position, I'd guess this is your new emergency loan centre-half.

Being paid late 3 months in a row must be a concern.
