PNE vs Barnsley

Got a feeling we'll lose this. A few weeks ago I'd have said we'd smash them but Barnsley have picked up recently and keeping Yiadom was big for them. Think it'll be a 2-2 or 3-2 either way.

I fancy us to shit all over someone soon, we're making the chances just haven't been putting them away. it would be nice if we can drop our prolific turds all over a team from the wrong side of the pennines.

Same team for me, unless AN brings in Harrop for Browne like he did against Reading.

Annoying not to beat a set of time wasting fucks but they defended well to their credit.

Promising that we can dominate games while missing Pearson, Cunningham, DJ and Clarke but definitely 2pts dropped.

Maguire is superb.

Yeah point fair result against a very decent Barnsley side. Bit of a weird game where I thought they were the more likely to score but we ended up with the better chances.

Please tell me your joking about Pearson!! Him and DJ were huge losses today. Harrop looked very tidy when he came on and a good replacement for DJ if he's out for a while.

Not sure about fair result, we didn't play particularly well but the game was ours for the taking.

Good save from Maguire's volley at the end, thought that was the moment. Their keeper was decent to be fair.

Yeah there time wasting tactics were a bit strange to me. Started it very early on when they were the team in the ascendancy

The longer the game went on the more dangerous we looked but thought a draw probably a fair result. Thought Barnsley looked very good at the back plenty of blocks and tackles and very good on the ball so no complaints over the result from me.

Frustrating game today. I'm sure it's going to click soon but at the minute we're being very wasteful when we've got ourselves into good positions.

Pearson won't be out for months from what I've been told.

What's this about time-wasting early on? Davies did a bit during injury time, as near enough any away team might when under pressure from a decent side. I didn't get the fans reactions at all before that, booing and whistling literally seconds after the ball had gone out for a goal kick and booing Gardner when he had to go off injured Bizarre.

Anyway. I mostly enjoyed the game, thought it was two solid sides having a go with the right result at the end, although Davies made a brilliant save to deny Maguire in the 93rd minute. Both defences did their jobs admirably for most of the game, with only Hammill causing any real problems for Preston and Preston's two wingers causing trouble for us. Moncur and Barnes livened the game up a bit for us when they came on second half and could have scored but hey ho.

Props to the pub that let us park there and had a terrific blonde ale on, The Sumners. Enjoyed the day and think both teams have the potential to do better than most think this season.

There were three incidents with 'head injuries' to be fair, one of them came back on the pitch to get treatment too, every team does it but doesn't stop it being any less annoying.
