I can see Wägner getting them fired up for this and attack from the off.

3-1 to Town, Kachunga x2, Mooy X1

Fancy us in this one, we generally fare well against these possession based sides and we're in pretty good form ourselves, winning our last three home games without conceding a goal.

Think Welsh is a doubt though so we will probably have to tinker with the system, hoping Hugill can carry on his recent form.

Can't see many goals, maybe 1-0 either way.

This must be a first for this forum.. both sets of fans fancy their own team!

I don't think this team are the type of bunch that will get all down in the dumps over a defeat. We've won both of our games that have followed a defeat previously this season. I am concerned about PNE doing a Wednesday on us though, the Grayson style does seem to combat ours quite well now and again.

Also expecting a tight one, >2.5 goals a banker.

Grabbing the first goal will be important for us I think, we've been coming out of the traps early and we're a tough team to play against when we're protecting a lead, we're more capable of nicking that second this season too.

Grabbed the first goal in our last 5 games.

Brighton 2-2 - Hugill 10 minutes
Villa 2-0 - Pearson 5 minutes
Birmingham 2-2 - Baptiste 19 minutes
Wigan 1-0 - Hugill 7 minutes
Bournemouth 3-2 - Makienok 10 minutes

If Huddersfield take the lead then I think they'll be professional enough to see it out.

I too think we might win this one, which generally means that we play wank and get beat though.

Much like Walsall and Brentford have continually done us over the recent years with football on the deck, I think Huddersfield will have too much for us. Hope not but reckon a 2-0 away win.

Away from home or not, we will let you have the ball on the halfway line all day long, so not sure how much opportunity you will get to hit us on the break. I think you'll have to play your way through us.

The more I think about this game the more I think it will be a dour 0-0 or settled by a set piece/ goal from nothing.

Thought Huddersfield looked quality at Deepdale last season under Wagner even though we won and expected them to do well this season.

But we're on form and have played fantastic last few home games.

Fuck it. 1-0 Hugil. Can't believe I'm saying this but quickly becoming a fans favourite is the lad

He's made ridiculous improvements over the past year, 4 goals in his last 6 games and imposing himself on matches more and more each game.

Always surprises me how quick he actually is considering he's a complete fridge, I certainly wouldn't want the fucker barging into me at full pelt.

Confident he will hit double figures.

I've always liked Hugill for the workrate and putting himself about that he does, he's brave and not scared to get stuck in but like you say the improvement he's started to show in the last year or so is massive.

My mums side of the family are Hartlepool fans and they said he was immense for them and probably one of the reasons they stayed up and the way things are going he could turn into one of our most important players if he keeps improving as he is.

What a performance tonight. The whole defence absolutely rock solid, Pearson and Johnson outstanding. Pringle worked hard and Gallagher was just.... Gallagher. I'm not his biggest fan as he can be very frustrating but if he had pace he'd have had a very good Premier League career. Hugill worked his socks off again and is looking more of a threat every week. Robbo didn't have his best game but still worked very hard and showed glimpses of brilliance.

Possibly the best performance I've seen in a very long time at Deepdale. Things really looking good at the moment, stark contrast to 6 weeks ago! Also, for the first time in a while, you can see that we have some players that we could sell on for a lot more than we got them for.

Exciting times.

Brilliant result and keeps our good little run going, it's been an amazing turn around after that first 6 games. Grayson got his tactics spot on and stopped Huddersfield getting their game going. The players worked their socks off and when Gallagher plays like that his delivery is undefendable at times.
That tippy tappy stuff between the goalkeepers and defenders, then repeat would frustrate the shit out of me.

Another good home win, Paul Gallagher's delivery was outstanding tonight and it proved to be the difference. Can't say I was too impressed by Huddersfield, we restricted them to long range efforts aside from their goal and at no point did I think we would throw it away after going 1-0 up. Expected an onslaught in the final 10 minutes but it never came and we saw the game out comfortably.

Big fan of Ben Pearson, he looks a great player and Tom Clarke was outstanding yet again, although I could fault any of the back 4 and keeper. Hugill and Robinson must be a nightmare for defenders too, constant running and hassling.

As Tom says, we've brought the likes of Maxwell, Baptiste, Pearson, Johnson and Hugill into the side and it's just clicked.

We've got a team who will battle all day long and we've found some confidence in front of goal.

Is it 12 weeks before when you tend to get the best prices? I'm thinking for Villa away which is also in Jan.

Uh oh

We looked like a bottom half side again tonight. Grayson has done us again, we couldn't get past you.
