After another win for Bury away ( Yes we won away) we are up to the dizzy heights of 3rd place - our highest ever place in pyramid for a good 15 years probably. We face an Chesterfield side that broke Northampton's long unbeaten run which proves they'll be no pushovers. Can Bury claim another win or will Ched's men steal the points?

Thoughts, predictions and general chit chat all in here.

Cam out for 6 months now and Barnett for four weeks leaving us with one centre half. Apparently Maher played well filling in at Swindon and we do have Bryan who can cover that spot, however it is not ideal and God knows what we will do if Kay gets injured as well.

Danny Mayor a doubt after not training all week so Flitcroft will probably do something stupid like sling Hope in on left wing or revert to a 4-3-3. IMO it should be Danns who should slot in on the left and see how that goes.

After several positive results we are due to be brought back down to earth, with a few key men out and the manager prone to stupid, pointless changes, I am worried that we may struggle against a decent looking Chessie side.

I will try and keep it positive and say 1-1.

Injured, apparently. No return date given. I've heard 3 weeks, or 3 months. I wonder if it's something to do with his re-trail pending though, trying to keep his head down!

I didn't realise Bury were 3rd, they've started really well, and won the last 3? I'd be pleased to take the draw, but if we play like we did at the weekend a win isn't out of the picture. We didn't play incredible, but it was the type of solid, sensible, complete performance I like to see and those performances can usually be replicated. It looks like we've stopped letting shit goals in for now (fingers crossed)

Give it till 5pm tomorrow. I'm sure we'll find something to complain about either on or off the field.

OK, so the whinge has to be people walking out as a noblot loan enters the pitch.
I understand the anger, I "hate" the buggers as much as anybody but come on, walking out on your team because of a noblot loan? who setup the winner as well is just plan daft.

Started like a house on fire but Chesterfield settled and shut us out until our goal. Was confident going in a goal up at HT but Chesterfield scored with a really soft goal. They dominated the second half for long periods but threatened little, partly because of wasteful finishing but partly because of some good defending from us. The subs changed the game, notably when Danns moved inside and Walker came on.
Great play from the lad to win the ball and ping in a cross, was going in as soon as it left Pope's head. Mental scenes in the stands and a good hard fought win, a draw was a fairer result though.
It is such a shame the pathetic Bury public still refuse to support their team though, I do wonder what it will take for them to come crawling out of the woodwork.
