Clever thread title!

For those who it might be a bit too much for, what Lamby has done is (and you won't believe someone is capable of such humour) replace the 2nd part of our club name with the word 'fail' because.....wait for it.....this rhymes with Vale and creates a derogatory name.

See, I told you all that southerners had a sense of humour

Should be looking to win, play how we have in all but one home game this season and im confident we will, play how we did Saturday and against Coventry and we won't.

Expecting a massive reaction after Saturday they owe us that at least! We have oddly seemed to follow up a dire result with a very good one so hopefully that trend goes on.

Hoping Jerome Thomas as fit!

I long to open a thread started by Lamby and not cringe.

Wins breed confidence and we got an emphatic one on Saturday. We have always created chances but struggle to put them away, and from Port Vale highlights at the weekend - we are going to get chances so hopefully we'll be able to stick a few away.

Our starting 11 are more than good enough to beat anyone in this league but unfortunately I'm not sure our manager shares the same belief so it worries me how we're going to set-up tonight, Russell Slade is extremely negative and an awful tactician so we could easily be punished for that by a decent Vale side.

In short, a game that could go either way but going to remain hopeful of nicking a win.

Vale 0 - 1 Charlton.

To be fair the goals conceded at the weekend were very uncharacteristic. MK pounded us with corners and crosses all game on the Sky game the week before and we stood up to it... hoping it was a one off! Teams that cause us problems at home (only 1 to be fair) did it with the high press.

Doesn't sound like our game at all, we spend most of it inside our own half defending the 0-0 draw. Josh Magennis and Ricky Holmes will probably make it an uncomfortable night for some of your defenders though.

To protest?
To throw Belgian waffles on the pitch and burn an effigy of Poirot?

All good ideas to be fair, will e-mail them to Lamby's mates over at CARD.

The thread title has been changed and therefore makes my post above seem slightly strange now :(

I didn't like it, seemed a little one sided.

Pissing it down, injuries stacking up and panic changes by Bruno. Not hopeful now with that XI!

Don't worry chaps, we're going 4-5-1, have no legs in the centre of midfield and Magennis up top on his own is a waste of time.

Don't matter it's wet and we've decided to throw more foreign players in tonight who so far haven't fancied the wet!

Absolutely all over Vale.

So Vale will score momentarily.

Absolutely dire and just a continuation of recent weeks. Wheels have totally fallen off and we are so easy to beat at the moment. Playing four centre halves is crazy and their wingers are taking advantage of that. Booed off and rightly so.

Everything we did three weeks ago we just are not doing at all anymore. Look half hearted and the rumours of a huge bust up seems to be showing on the pitch.
