Now that the window has slammed shut, how are the squads in the division looking for the business end of the season?

Our window was a busy one as expected - several out and several more in.

In - Morris (loan made permanent), Masterson (Loan), Coleman, Dieng, Lapslie, Clarke, O'Brien (Loan), Abrahams (Loan), Nichols and Hawkins

Out - Mandron, Harriott (Still training with us, currently injured but out of contract), Mnoga, Baggott and Law (all three loans ended)

The squad now looks much beefier:

Morris / Turner

Alexander / Wright - Ehmer / Masterson / McKenzie - Tutonda / Akehurst

Williams / O'Keefe / Coleman / Dieng / Jefferies

Adelakun / Clarke / Lapslie / O'Brien / Kashket / Lee / Reeves / MacDonald

Hawkins / Nichols / Abrahams / Gbode
Probable first choice
Injured

To use your template (thanks):

Burge / King / Maxted

McGowan / Lintott - Magloire / Sherring / Guthrie / Odimayo / Dyche / Tomlinson - Koiki / Haynes

Fox / McWilliams / Sowerby / Hondermarck / Leonard / Harrop / Abimbola

Wright-Phillips / Eppiah / Bowie / Pinnock / Hoskins / Cross / Ngwa

Appéré / Hylton / Yengi / Connor
Probable first choice
Injured
Youth/Development

In - King (Burge injury replacement), Hondermarck, Wright-Phillips (Loan) and Yengi (Loan)

Out - nobody even hinted.

Our squad is looking strong, as long as we keep key players fit - Guthrie, Sowerby, McWilliams and Appéré. Bowie rumoured to not be out for months as feared (fox previously went from 6 months to 6 days, so we have form), so our attack is looking especially strong, some of our best performances even came without Hoskins. Especially looking forward to seeing how we incorporate Wright-Phillips. Yengi will bring something different which is always a good option to have.
Despite saying that first choice team, I haven't included some of our more exciting players who could easily start - Wright-Phillips, Eppiah, Bowie and Hondermarck. Sherring has started the majority of games this season and Fox has a case to be in the XI - been excellent.

Also looking at it I don't think we have ever played our first choice defence of McGowan/Magloire/Guthrie/Koiki with one at least being injured at a point in time. Must be annoying for Brady.

new additions are in green. We didn't make wholesale changes but I feel like the new loanees are an improvement on who they've replaced (Gordon has already matched Stretton's goal return). Still a fair few injuries scattered throughout the squad, including some long term ones but we should have enough for the run-in, I hope.

Most frustrating part is knowing vast majority will be changed again in the summer.

Constant high turn over of players (and staff) due to poor decision making

Have absolutely no clue now what are our strongest line up is, we have a load of midfielders, but defence and attack look weak.

The only thing I can probably guess is the team will be built around Sterry, Dodds, Ferguson, Kiernan, Kemp and Umerah. I think those 6 are probably guaranteed starts.

I also have a feeling Curle might go with a back 4 bearing mind how many wide players we now have.

From that midfield we can almost certainly pick out who won't be starting any time soon.

If he's going 4 man midfield I'd go, Sylla, Dolan, Kiernan, Kemp, with Umerah and Jennings up front but you can bet your bottom dollar Featherstone will be included anyway possible.

Dan Happe - Out for the season

Midfielders:

Paul Smyth

Kieran Sadlier

Strikers:

Harry Smith
Aaron Drinan
Charlie Kelman
Jayden Wareham - Went back to Chelsea

Only 4 came in for us in the end - 2 were enforced at centre back because Happe is gone for the season and Ogie is out until April. This looks like it may have ate into our potential budget, our CEO said we was very close to our FFP limits.

Stephen Duke McKenna on loan from QPR is now also out for the season, so Kieran Sadlier replaced him.

Jayden Wareham went back to Chelsea and Harry Smith can play again.

Lyden will give us an extra midfield option, but has been out for a year.

No one left which was important for us, we didn't really need wholesale changes, as up until January what we was doing was working.

The only concerns for us now apart from injuries is the goalscoring. The 3 strikers we have - none are clinical or prolific, we've got this far with them being this way so far, but now questions are being asked of them.

Alot now depends on Paul Smyth staying fit and Kieran Sadlier living up to his hype of being a decent player.

Add long term injury to Sho Silva. He’s out for 3-4 months.

Think he would have been allowed depending on us bringing someone in, and us not getting Foran over the line till late on probably scuppered it

You could even do a 433, something like Polish Lad, Sterry, Foran, Dolan, Ferguson, Sylla, Kiernan, Finney, Kemp, Umerah, Jennings/Grey.

Quite a lot of wide options but not much out and out up top. Maybe 433 worth another look? That said like, defence, especially centre back looks weak or inexperienced in whatever combo having thought about it just now. I think we've left a really good signing behind in that area.

Is Robinson still with us? Don't recall any confirmation of us terminating the loan, though he's been out of action for months.

On balance a reasonable window, we've strengthened the midfield and attack while adding some pace to the team. However with the recall of Simeu, sale of Byrne and the ditching of Hockenhull to non-league Siberia, we are weaker defensively than before the window and relying on predominantly midfield players; Merrie, O'Connor and Walker to cover. Talk of one or two out of contract players training with us with an eye to a short term deal, hoping one is a defender.
