Pre-season Friendlies

Anyone got anything interesting lined up?

We're setting up for our usual round of local non-league away games and uninspiring league opponents. So far we have :

Braintree
Dartford
Orient all away

Oh for a tour to Ireland/Europe

We've got a game at Curzon Ashton so far.

Otherwise, I expect three or four home games against Championship/Premiership opposition from the reasonably local area (Wigan/Blackburn/Hudders/Wendies/Leeds/Burnley/Everton; Barnsley/Bradford if either win playoffs, possibly Wolves/Stoke). Then the usual four or five non-league. If Accy Stanley don't come up they'll be in the mix either home or away.

Wolves and Birmingham at home and Chester away aside from the local games. Bit dull this year after hosting Getafe the year before!

So far we've got our usual local games, Weston Super Mare, Bath, Mangotsfield, Salisbury, but this year we've got a game away to CE Sabadell, who I think are in the Segunda B or something in Spain. They too play in blue and white quarters so fans have often gone over to watch them play and visa versa, this is the first time anything has been done officially though.

We'll start at Welling United in July as we usually do too I would imagine.

Christ, there is early...then there is this thread. Suppose given the Euro's this summer will fly by quicker than normal and we shall be back to the domestic scene quickly!

We'll play Bradford Park Avenue and Guiseley for sure.

PP loves his Ireland trips, but given a lot of our current squad have been here a number of years, surely Ireland again would be a little tedious.

I wouldn't mind a Scotland tour again, and to entertain a big club for our only home fixture is a must. Two previous seasons we've entertained L2 dross......Rangers please.

We've been told we are not getting any premiership teams this year, i think Power might have outstayed his welcome at some of them. So i would imagine a championship side and a load of local non league side, oh and i think one at Woking. No chance of us going abroad .

Well, we have got Leicester at home! God knows how we managed that but looking forward to it especially as they say Leicester will play a good team...unlike the times we used to get Manchester United and play their Under 12's....and lose!

If we are going where i'm told we might be then i'll be all over it. Paid for by a middle eastern kit sponser apparently which is a little different - hence the reason it's not been announced yet as don't think everything is signed.

Neither come to think of it. Playing Crewe and especially Vale are decent though for me.
