They get our advance and pay on the day prices right, but they don't delve into the pricing structure as such.

Wait for us -

We'll have the most expensive "cheap" season ticket, while also having the cheapest "most expensive" season ticket.

Go figure...

Ours will be most expsenive of that I’m sure. One of many things our board have got wrong is making it affordable for everyone to attend

Luton have some "gold" or "diamond" (or something like that) costing around £750 - but you get quite a lot of extras with that also

Mansfield Town sell season tickets, at a variety of prices, like every other club...that is insightful journalism!

You know what I can't stand? Clubs like Luton and their 'category A/B/C' bullshit. AFAIC, there's no difference at all between my lot and say FGR, as both clubs are 4th division clubs but Luton will say Cambridge is CAT A and FGR is CAT C. Naturally, it has nothing to do with the fact that we take more to KR than FGR :told:

Our pricing structure this season was based on the number of tickets sold, which might confuse the researchers, even though we failed to meet the minimum we set ourselves before the first level of discount kicked in, and then applied said discount anyway.

Happens at every level and our club did it when we played Man U. You're right though, it is total bollocks.

No. We sell adult season tickets at £330 regardless of where you sit in the ground.

Hence the original statement

Blimey, you must be the only club who don't have expensive and less-expensive areas of the ground...even we manage to have one block in the main stand that is more expensive than the rest.

Realised the BBC has chucked in a three hundred quid telly subscription when you calculate the cost of following your club. Would have made more sense last year in the Conference when we were live on BT a couple of times but seems a bit tangential to L2.

Ours are all the same price regardless of where you sit as well I think.

Given that the various sections of our stadium are so different from one-another we only have two price categories, terracing and seating, so were we an all seater stadium I imagine we'd be like Mansfield and have a single price.

Depends though, our west stand is one of the better stands in the league (as opposed to the one missing on the other side of the pitch!) and the upper tier of that you get really good views. The same to be said behind the goal?

Not that we generally get close to filling the ground anyway, but that's why the QLE opposite where away fans sit is usually pretty sparse

Our Ian Greaves Upper tier is literally the perfect view for a football game IMO.

Height, distance from pitch etc all near perfect. Although it’s still excellent views behind the goal to be fair.

Generally our tickets are way to expensive though especially considering it’s a pretty poor area.

Well the only clubs offering cheaper season tickets than us are tinpot teams like Morecambe, Accrington and Luton. Happy with that.

£324 to watch Barnet seems a bit of a stretch seeing as The Hive isn't even in Barnet. Be like us moving to Penrith and then putting prices up.

I'm sure we all have similar complaints but our pricing structure just doesn't fit the model.

Monthly membership covering just the league 2 season is £27pm (£270).
Why they've priced in paying June and July when there is no football is a bit daft.

The Hive deal also skews the matchday prices and whilst the headline is £19 & £25, many will be paying £17 & £21.

Our prices for away fans is embarrassing. £23 is too expensive

We seem pretty middle of the road on everything as expected.

It's a hell of a lot of work, but it'd be good if they could expand it and show promotions as well. Even if it's just a year.

Yeah like our family area which is free for kids after a £10 membership fee for the season and then £12 a game for the accompanying adult, well below our normal prices of £18/£20.

We have three prices for seating in our main stand, without checking off the top of my head. It was very controversial when they introduced the third tier as they removed concession tickets in the middle of the main stand which effectively evicted long standing season ticket holders from the area.

In terms of match day tickets, terrace prices are the same behind the goal as they are along the side. It costs £2 less per ticket across the ground if you buy in advance. But if you buy online, there's a 50p transaction fee per ticket.

Food is generally a bit "meh" in my opinion. You can now get a beer in 2 out of 3 home stands which is pretty good. Overpriced mind.

Two points for me here. First football is a business. Supply and demand. If your ground is full, or close to full every week and some people will pay more you'd be mad to not charge more. If its empty week on week you'd also be crazy not to look at offers that promote long term support and get bums on seats. So I have no problem with the average price being high if its inflated by high end pricing and there's a lower end price point too. There's definitely an argument in football on the growing rich poor divide and the working man being priced out - hence my thoughts safe terracing and more expensive VIP seating with a catered match day experience and prob several levels in between make total sense.

Second. Is a Pound still a pound? - (don't even have the pound any more on my keyboard been away that long) When I lived in London a pound there went nowhere compared than when I went in any decent distance in any direction. I could go to say Leeds for the weekend on the same money and live like a king compared to a pauper in London. So the value of a $15 ticket in London was VERY different to a $15 ticket in lots and lots of places.

Then again...................we're Luton. We charge what we want. We're clearly gonna win the Champions League this decade. Then the World Cup when they have to change the rules to accommodate our greatness. I think its perfectly fair we charge away fans lots more for the privilege of being in our midst.
