If it's anything like the last season we were in the same league

5-0 at Mansfield, 4-0 at Mansfield in the auto windscreens, 3-0 at Crewe in the FA cup and 2-0 at Crewe in the league.

We scored our monthly allotment of 1 goal on Tuesday. A draw would be good

You know what Adam, you're becoming incredibly dull with your eat, sleep, rattle on in the same manner, repeat. I'd be hiding any non-blunt instrument in your place pal because you've gone from bordering on obsessive to rambling wreck. We're going through a rough patch but we still have decent players and can certainly win at Crewe, who are hardly the outfit that we've seen in the past.

This is the sort of game where it wouldn't be any sort of shock if we won, especially against a team who've just shipped five against Wycombe. We have the second best defensive record after ten games, though it's easy to dwell on the fact that we look limp going forwards, and that's fair enough, but we are hardly cannon fodder and a team that concedes goals and has only won one game more than us can hardly spout that it's a "nailed on" win, especially when we are decent away from home.

We'll see but there's only one thing worse than our current run of results and that's having to read the whining, morose comments of broken record, wrist slashing Stags fans - they're as boring as our team have been. Some would say that it's a hand in glove perfect fit.

A reasonable possibility we could sneak another goal here after our drought. Especially as Crewe shipped a few last game. Will they try to tighten up at the back at the expense of attacking options? 1-1 again I think.

If that's your opinion then good for you. No doubt you'd be the type that would happy clap a side to a relegation. If you've a problem with it then you need to understand that fans have differing opinions which they may not share with you, and you need to learn to respect this.

The reason I am highly critical of Murray is that these tactics aren't new, the defensive tactics aren't new, and the football, is frankly dire. It was acceptable in the first season as the side we had were rubbish - probably worse than the side we went down with - we survived and moved on. The home form has been nothing short of diabolical under him.

However he's actually put together a more than capable side this season of going for the play-offs - why not trust such talented players such as Danny Rose (on the wing!) Matt Green (who receives a dog's dinner of service) and the constant defensive midfielders when not necessarily needed. If you want to critisise someone for being dull, boring and repetitive, you're critising the wrong Adam, pal.

Now, this shouldn't be misinterpreted of me wanting him out - as it stands I don't. I think I fall under the catergory of those who are willing to give him time but think there should be a change of approach soon - I can't speak for everyone, but most would fall into this catergory. He is being given a lot of slack as he is a rightful club legend.

There are others who will think Murray is currently doing a great job (which I don't agree with) and those who currently want him out (I don't agree with there either) however, I don't critisise others that think differently.

I don't ever have a problem with differing opinions - on the contary, I agree with almost everyone else in that the last month hasn't been close to being good enough. My problem is with reading the same criticisms in almost every post and I prefer to not continually repeat myself and bug people.

Hope we win, Refraining from getting on at Murray until he's got some players to choose from as we do have a few injuries. Accrington, Whilst a 1-1 draw at a bogey side looks a good point, We still didn't have a shot at goal in the second half and created absolutely fuck all. That said we are a good team on the road and I see no reason why we cant continue that tomorrow. Going to be positive and say 2-1 to us with a following of around 500.

We will be in Crewe for 10ish so where can we get a drink?

Didn't you start the season pretty well? Just looks like a bad run of form from the outside, Murray is doing a decent job.

We did jacobncfc but have tailed off a little. Our injury list is getting smaller now so hopefully we pick it back up. Murray is a little too negative at home, We've been playing 4 at the back and then 2 central midfielders sat just infront of the 4. Defensively we are good, We've not conceded many and I've no doubt Green and Rose will score goals between them but in midfield we just look poor. Hopefully when the new lad Gobern gets match fit he is what we need, And we are still waiting for Jack Thomas to be fit. I can see him being on the bench against yourselves next week.

Plenty of eateries and boozers on and around Nantwich Road and all within 5 mins walk of the ground and rail station.
Enjoy your time in Crewe but hopefully not the result.

Yeh,bit of a gulf between the two sides back then.
We finised runners-up,you lot went down.14-0 aggregate although to be fair you lot did hit our post in one of the Gresty Road games.
I'll go 2-0 for us this time.

Yes, hoping for a better result than last time! Murray might suprise us and go attacking - with only 1 defensive midfielder :ffs:

1-1 draw.

We miss Kiwomya massively. Can't see there being a lot in it. Crewe 2-1 Manafield (Dagnall, Cooper, Green) 3,842 (406 Stags)

Wasn't at the game. From the stats and comments it sounded fairly even and a fair result?

A fair game. A fair draw.

Both sides weren't great, we could have gone for the win against an alright side - just one on the defence and short of confidence - had we showed any ambition we could well have won that.

Greatly road is a strange place - great and funny fans in the pub, yet in the ground there's more atmosphere on Mars.

We really could have won today, had we showed ambition and attacking play, Crewe looked shaky at the back. However, having conceded 5 on Tuesday, a defensive Mansfield were just the side to play today.

With two very tough away games coming up we needed to win today. 2 points out of 9 in the last week to three sides who were out of form on paper before we played Blackpool last weekend is well and truly abysmal if we want to be competing at the top. We now have 3 tough away games this month (Luton, Notts County and Leyton Orient, the latter two are bogey grounds) and Yeovil at home which is absolutely must win. As a result, I'm worried where we'll be at the end of October.

Davis will get the season on the basis that he's had a "good start" but I can't see us finishing in the top half if we're not killing off out of form sides at the bottom like Hartlepool, Newport, Cheltenham and Wycombe. I don't think we're missing Kiwomya either, comfortably was the worst player at Grimsby when we last won and he last played. I expect us and Mansfield to be mid-table sides this season and hopefully we'll give Davis and son the boot but there's more chance of them getting contracts for life than us making a much-needed decision like that.

A draw was a fair result from a poor-ish game.
Still unbeaten at home so that's the positive.

Poor-ish game is an understatement. The last two home games have been absolutely mind numbing and of sub standard quality.

Crying shame the "good start" has guaranteed Davis' job unconditionally for the next 18 months.
