Mr Johnson has been spouting his mouth off again about the job he did here. Apparently we were on a losing run when he joined (we'd lost 1 in 9) and it was his team that got to the playoffs 18 months later. Boothroyd failed too according to GJ, even though we had a fantastic 18 months under Aidy. He says he's unsure of the reception he'll get, but I can confirm it will be one filled with animosity.

Anyway, nothing against Cheltenham but I want to smash you lot on Saturday. Really badly. We controlled the game against Oxford before we lapsed right at the end, so hopefully we can bring some of that performance and make one of our trademark fast starts at home.

2-0 Town and Gary Johnson crying on the pitch at the end will do me fine. (Cheltenham will probably win).

He was terrible for us, absolutely terrible. Only positive of his tenure is that I beleive he signed Langmead (even though he was dire under GJ). I thought the Oxford game was a clear example of what needs to change next season, better second string players to assist the first 11, even though the season is done I was still pissed off because we bossed that game.

As for Oxford agree nothing against the club (fantastic memories of our playoff second leg victory) but I hope we batter you because of GJ. I fancy goals in this one, expecting the same starting XI as the Oxford game.

Expecting your Maloney song to be shouted in full voice, I do wonder if he even knows its his song!

I was in Moon On The Square one Saturday night a few months ago, and I bumped into him by the bar. We'd won that day so I started chatting to him about it, he bought me a beer and he invited me to his table and he said he'd heard it during the game but didn't quite catch the words! As the person who made it up, I told him what they were and he loved it!

Talk me through why you hate him!
No, no. We love him. Because my only experience of John Beck was phase 2 plus Histon and other embarrassments, GJ is the best manager that the U's have had since I've followed them (actually been aware of them as a team of interest is more accurate). Also, I have big regards for someone who made a mark in the Baltics. What he did to Posh and yourselves was just a bonus :D

One thing I'm sure of is that, unlike many United fans, I don't want him back at The Abbey. Firstly because I don't like the idea of managers going back to a club they once managed, and secondly, I think a lot of U's tend to over-rate him and consider him some sort of hero. Not saying he didn't do a job for us, just that he didn't do enough to warrant him the icon status U's fans bestow upon him.

I agree on all points. He's one of the few with that accent and stature that I can warm to but he's nearly as old as me. I'm hoping for someone younger and without baggage for our next stage of development but can't think who. I'm sure that Jez has a plan for the next stage of the Jezolution but I can't envisage a seamless exit for Richard. I think Robbie Simpson will make a better manager than Luke but I can't see either fitting the bill before we have to find a replacement. Happy to leave it to Jez for now.

Johnson is unsure of the reception he will get! Maybe he means he is not sure if it will be very hostile or very very hostile.

He has not once shown a ounce of humility and admission he that he was an utter joke at our place! Some of the players he signed were just bloody awful.

To the tune of Cum on feel the noise

Johnson's nicking a living! He's sending Cheltenham down. It's all gone wrong, It's all gone wrong.
It's not Gary's fault, He's doing a good job, it was all broke before he came...

Cheltenham will have gained a bit of confidence from their midweek win. They cannot afford to lose this with a tough game next week.

Hopefully Northampton will take this really seriously and give them a beating. But we won at Sixfields a few weeks ago, so Cheltenham can if it's their day.

Johnson says, Cheltenhams going down, Cheltenhams going down, Cheltenhams going down!! (After that horrible song)

So fuck off Gary Johnson,
Going to the conference,
You're a fat wanker,
You're a shit manager!

We've seen you before,
We've seen you befooree,
You're fucking useless,
We've seen you before

Typically as soon as we produce a fantastic performance our best player on the day, Danny Haynes, gets injured. That's now Haynes, Burns, Packwood, Wynter, Richards and Vaughan out injured - all would arguably be starting if fit. Not confident despite Tuesday's game, think I'd take a point.

Routine 2-0 win. Really enjoyed our play again, thought Holmes, Toney and D'ath were all very good. Rico coming back with a goal was fantastic, great finish to go with it. Enjoyed the Johnson abuse! Definitely think with Toneys progression 442 will be required more next season.

The far short cockney one looked a little lost when he arrived! The away team coach normally stops outside the main entrance - Cheltenham;s stopped by the club shop and Gary had asked Where do I go?! Given he worked for us for about 8 months I would have thought he would have known where to go.

Good performance - Holmes was again a joy to watch. d'Ath looked much more lively and towards his best and of course Rico popped up and still is within a shout of the golden boot!

Must mention Manset. A drama queen of the highest order. Cheltenham played with no fight and think they have a very tough game v Shrewsbury and they could be down next week.

Also surprised more Cheltenham fans didnt make the journey. Your team is stuggling massively and you cant make the 60 mile journey?!

So get lost Gary Johnson, he's sending Cheltenham.....

I don't tell porkies says Gary! Good to see the lads keep going and wanting to finish the season on a high. The double edged sword is it will probably mean we will finish only a few points outside the play offs and then you go back to certain moments of the season.

Special mention for O'Toole who did for second game in a row a good job as central midfielder.
