2 teams struggling to buy a win. Our heavily patched up side might get a point, but I suspect we will lose again.

2-1

Play as we did Saturday I'd fancy us to get something here. We seem to be playing better away than under Bruno without much reward, obviously tougher without patched up defence than it would of been had Kjell or Remie been fit but would stick with the same back line against Bradford.

With the Rochdale form both sides will feel its a winnable one but think a frustrating draw on the cards.

We keep going on about other teams form, Scunny won 1 of last 7 , guess who against, Bristol Rovers awful away, point at Vale,,, Posh had lost 5 out of 7, trounced Vale,, Bradford 4 without a win,, Won at Vale.....

Need i go on ?

Rochdale form is irrelevant, we have not won a game since December 30th, disgusting.

A point is no use either now we are 2 points from safety with an horrific run in.

Is it that horrific? Last 3 or 4 games are awful.

Still got Swindon, Shrewsbury, MK, Wimbledon to come to Vale Park

Got to go to Chesterfield, Coventry, Northampton.

Points to be had but we need to start getting them asap.

by run in i meant last four games, basically we have 11 games to win 5, you can forget Sheff Utd Bolton or Fleetwood.
Oxford maybe end of season nothingness for them hopefully.
I have no wish to get into a petty squabble VF16, it is all about opinion mate.
How with 1 win in 16 ( and that was flukey as lad punched the ball ) away from home we can look to suddenly win 3 of our last 6 or 7 is doubtful in the extreme.

I agree we are playing slightly better but getting no points, all the others have momentum , i'd wager the bottom 2 are down barring absolute miracle.
Bury and Oldham both have upwards momentum, we have no momentum.
I watched Brown on Saturday , for at least the last 20 minutes he had his hands in his pockets.
Considering he was an up and at em midfielder with a nose for a yellow or red card i'd expect more passion.
More passion in my little toe , the bloke is out of his depth, how much longer Bruno can get the blame ? This bloke has had plenty enough time to turn things round, we all knew Grant was going and the Alnwick thing came late in the day, where was the contingency plan?
Oh lets ring my old Leeds mate Pugh see if he fancies a game, although to be fair he is one of our best players which speaks volumes.

Rochdale are a decent side in a bad run of form, we are a turd side in an even worse run. Wonder if there is any chance they want that absolute car crash Tanser back ? what a truly horrendous player, looks like he needs a good meal down him.

Is Tanser doing that badly?

We need a win. Lots of players missing through injury and suspension. We haven't played terribly in most games in this run, but a couple have been shocking. Hoping we actually play players in the right positions for this one and we may have a chance. We had our two top scorers playing at left back and right back on Saturday.

Fair debate mate to be honest if you want my honest opinion we will go down, all I mean is the run in there to get the points... getting them is a different matter however!

Brown will make a decent manager of that I am sure... now is the wrong time for him though and this may ruin his long term prospects, he's had his hands tied although with Pugh I think he has been very good (two man of the matches)

Tanser is shit and thankfully Brown has swallowed pride and played Kiko who is twice the player. Wasted wage that!

Bruno can take a lot of blame but the main blame is Smurf for employing him in the first place... seemed to be perfect at the start but fast went downhill.

We've got to go there looking for a positive result though tomorrow as Southend will be even tougher on Saturday.

Played twice... last time the horror show against Posh and hasn't been seen since. Kiko is far superior and rightly now in place.

Looks so weak does Tanser... hasn't he played centre half before? The thought of him against someone like Hanson or Pope...

Tanser has gone from first choice left back as a new signing, to 3rd choice. The guy who replaced him Knopps moved to centre half , he was replaced by Kiko, i aint one for slagging players off, but he looks a woeful signing, i think i am right Dale4ever his last game was the 0-4 to Oxford where he had a howler.
We then signed him on the Monday.
As VF16 i can't begin to imagine him as centre half against Hanson, Morison, etc etc , weak as a kitten

5 1 to rochdale before rochdales poor run they had won 10 in a row at home so there a good home side we are wank away all season and wank at home lately. We have played slightly better lately but lack any quality in our squad.

Typical crewe fan wanking over the thought of vale going down so we can fill half your ground like coventry will too.

Crewe make me realise things could be worse...

How many games since you've won? You'll break that duck against us. We seem to have that happen to us too often.

8 or 9, have only beaten Chesterfield and Hartlepool in the last four months.

The lad definitely has potential, I've seen him play fantastically at times, mainly in a great spell at the start of the 14/15 season when he broke into the first team and really did grab his opportunity. He had an absolute mare at Walsall away that season when we were 3-0 down after about 25 minutes and was subbed. His chances were very limited for us after that match and since he's had to settle for playing in JPT/EFL Trophy matches mainly and sub appearances at best in the league. He played against Oxford the other week mainly because we had no real choice with all the recent injuries we've picked up and you're correct he did have a mare, but he wasn't totally to blame for what was an absolutely abysmal team performance.

I don't think he always saw eye to eye with Keith Hill which was another factor in him not getting much game time. I also know he's recently been injured so it's a possibility that he's still working his way back to match fitness.

I'd definitely say at his age (22) he still has great potential and room to improve too. He did once play at centre back but it wasn't for a sustained period of time, more to fill gaps every now and then really. Hard to judge whether he would ever be a permanent centre back, I'd say he's definitely more suited to left back.

It's amazing how differing fans have different opinions isn't it?

To me, Tanser looked like he'd won a school competition to play. In my opinion there are far better players on a Sunday park pitch. So lightweight (to the point of looking like he would snap if someone challenged him) and with very little ability to make up for it - I'd be amazed if he ever plays for us again.

Having said that, Calvin Andrew was one of the worst players I've seen at the Vale and he's done alright for you since!

As for the game, we'll put in a 'brave' performance but inevitably lose again. Anyone with any aerial prowess will have a field day against us and we've not got any fire power.

Rochdale 3-0

Game is off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Not in least surprised, lashing down here and heard on radio 5 this morning that M60 and M62 areas were affected by bad weather, wonder if Bury v Coventry also fall victim.

Even Accrington is on. This sums us up at times though it really does, great initiative with the tickets and then clearly not enough effort made to get the match on. We've just had the pitch relaid, sure we've had a fair amount of rain but I'd say nowhere near enough for this to happen.
