Not only do we get one joyous match up in Portugal v Uruguay, but we also get this one, the battle of the underperformers.

France have stars all over the team, but they are yet to really produce. They qualified out of their group relatively easily. Ok, they never really fired on all cylinders, but they never looked in any danger of not getting through.

The same can't be said for Argentina, who scraped through thanks to a cracking finish from a CB. They were 8 minutes from going out, but got a lucky repreive. Can this be the spark they need to kick on, or was it simply delaying the inevitable?

Really looking forward to this one, whoever loses, I'll happily wave them out. Who are you rooting for?

Have no reason to go for Argentina as they are utter drivel, and France, are, well, France. If both sides play to their abilities, Les Bleus win comfortably. However I just got a sneaky feeling an upset is on the cards here, and the Argies somehow do it. 2 - 1 Argentina.

This match is good enough to be the final. This is the first match that could potentially go to penalties, although I think France will shade it and Maradona will have a heart attack.

I hope one of these teams remembers how to play football today.

Messi should be playing right wide for me so he can come deeper and get more involved in the game, he's too isolated playing striker.

The trouble Mbappe is giving the Argentine defence is a good argument for having a manager, because they can sort it out.

Well this is living up to its hype. France really shouldn’t be drawing against this Argentina side but they’re just so meh.

people are sleeping on the Argies - okay they're not pulling up any trees but they've got match winners aplenty in their forward line.

Now they get a lucky deflection. Time to see what France are made of.

What a strike. Not a fan of either team but rather France take this. Play acting Argentinians can fook off. Also, they were shite in the group stage.
