As I've said elsewhere, would have been much more confident of getting the win Rovers need had Luton got something out of last Friday's game with Exeter. Rovers seem to be a guaranteed cure for opponents down on their uppers.

Micky Adams continues to make odd team selections; persisting with Brezovan in goal when Fon Williams was available being the latest. Danny Holmes frozen out at right-back, despite being one of our better performers and persisting with Dugdale in particular.

The best we will manage is a draw, not enough at this stage in our position.

I'm not expecting many Luton fans to travel given the way things are going?

It'll be a small following for sure. Even if we were doing better, the trains are basically a no-go due to all the bank holiday repair works which will put a lot of people off.

with our promotion chances as good as dead,
can't see many travelling all the way to Birkenhead
even so,bearing in mind our awful form,
taking about 300 minimum is the norm
hardy fans travel the country up and down ,
to follow their love Luton Town
LOL (Love Our Luton)

I honestly don't know what to expect... we could push on after two decent performances, but more than likely we'll end the Luton losing streak. Going for 2-1 either way.

Luton's bad form has to end at some point! From a selfish view, I would be happy for them to lose the next five and then beat Stevenage!

We're not being thrashed - we've lost the last 3 home games 3-2 with goals being conceded at key intervals. Restarts/set pieces, beginning and ends of halves. Indicates that its a mental thing rather than an ability thing. I don't think we're far away from a relatively comfortable victory.

We were exactly the same on our shit run. From Oct 11 in the league W2 D0 L10. We only got beaten by two goals twice and one of those was when we had ten men after Jordan Archer lost the plot at Southend.

Under Gary Johnson? When we beat you - when you had Saido Berahino and Adebayo Akinfenwa up front?

36 GAMES OF PAIN GONE - LUTON FINALLY GET A PENALTY.

Edit: Tranmere 0-1 Luton - Cameron McGeehan followed up Mark Cullen's saved penalty on his 20th birthday. (Last 3 penalties for Luton missed/saved).

Oh my god we won a game. Honestly thought we would go the rest of the season without winning.

And a penalty! We are spoilt this Easter!

Luton were there for the taking and we still fuck it up. How Dugdale is still in employed as a professional footballer I've now idea. Just sack Adams now and give us a chance for the last five games.

What the hell has gone wrong with Micky Adams, just about everyone wanted him as our new manager when we appointed Wilcox. Great record at lower league and should have been a nailed on success.

He's an arrogant prick who thinks he's better than he is. Plays his favourites, usually the players that he has signed and leaves 4 of our better players on the bench. Horrible man who is taking us down, and doesnt seem to care.

Knew it.
Spineless, clueless, gutless - all adjectives of a side who lose a lot of games and all attributes that would make our side better!
Don't know what to do, don't make runs, let a 19 year old with 2 games under his belt bully and dictate to them. We're gone.
As for Adams, his only answer is sign more loans. He's awful and can fuck off.

0-0 would have been fair... Green was shite and Jennings pretty good. Keeper made a great save from Laird, and JMW should have scored in the second minute. Other than that, we created sfa.
We're not down just yet, but the way the other games went, that was our chance to move up a few places and we fucked it up big time.

JMW missing and Laird not scoring were symptomatic of us though - both should score and didn't and then we concede that penalty and the rest is history. We are down, because can you see us picking up points against Southend, Plymouth or Bury? I can't and even if we do best Mansfield and Oxford (highly doubtful), it wouldn't be enough.

Team selection all wrong; 1 forward up front for a game we needed to win and be into Luton from the off. Dugdale starting again, Brezovan instead of Fonners, the continued exclusion of Danny Holmes and so on. Don't think it's fair to blame an 18 year old kid, who was more up for it than half of our own squad.
Agree with Reg a draw would have been fair. Luton didn't look a patch on the side that beat us on their home turf and play-offs might be beyond them now.
Unless our moronic manager starts picking his best team from the players available, I can't see us winning another game this season. Beyond suicidal now...

I don't actually remember Luton being anything special in that game either... mind you, we actually played well that game.

Yeah a whole 1 point.
We're shit, but so is the division as a whole.
So you think that Luton will still make the play-offs? Mathematically it's still possible, in the same way as Rovers theoretically could stay up, but currently they don't look like one of the top 7 sides in a poor league. Maybe a slightly fortunate win will kick-start your campaign.

My recollection, both sides were much better at Kenilworth Road and at that point though Luton might even go up automatically and Micky Adams would take us to comfortable mid-table. What a fool...

Exactly. But we all know he's too stubborn to do this and therefore we'll end up playing in the division below next season.

Never say never - I think we have as good a chance as Plymouth, Newport and Stevenage whom we've all beaten already this season.
I still think its a long shot, although our run was more of a mental thing than an ability thing.
