Fixture of the day: a relegation dogfight classic in Cheltenham v Burton Albion.

If Chelts win, they go 2 points behind Burton with a game in hand.

If Burton win, they claw one step closer to the beach, with games against the likes of Vale, Fleetwood and Cheltenham (again) looking the most winnable - they face Fleetwood on the final day, by which time FTFC will surely have already been relegated barring a miracle.

We face Barnsley at home - the reverse fixture ended 1-0 but only because of a comedy goalie cock-up, so there's enough to suggest we're not a million miles off being able to compete. That said, they didn't have a midweek fixture whereas we did, but no excuses, we have enough depth in our squad to not be whining about these things.

Last season this sold out in 24 hours... we've flogged around 2k for this so going to be about 1000 empty seats which is a real statement of feeling at the moment.

We will get absolutely battered, Wilson looks like he is out so stuck with Dipepa who's 16/17 and not ready for mens football despite a decent showing last night or Ryan Loft... who actually came on for said 16/17 year old and we were weaker!

Mitch Clark doesn't seem to be coming back into the fold despite training for a while now so unsure whats going on there so can't see anything positive here... nonetheless I will be there to suffer it being fairly local for me.

Had an incredible away day last season with our come back win but no chance this time. We will get robbed.

It's basically a must-win game for us if we're serious about a late run into the PO's. I don't think we will make them by the way, we've got too much to do and too small a margin for error for this stage of the season, but if we want to keep some interest in the final games then we need to be winning.

And we have a poor record against Evans sides down the years.

I bet you a tenner it’s not more than 3.
They are not that good.

They don't need to be good, we are devoid of any confidence, lacking fight and have a 17 year old leading our forward line. Its likely to get very messy.

Couldn’t really give a fuck on this in all honesty. Name the women’s team and let them run up the score to help their GD. Or name the men’s team and let them do it further.

Coupon buster. I’m putting this down as an away win. Might get good odds on a fiver down.

11/2 not often we are that long odds in any league game... Ipswich I think we were about 18/1 though and led before a late defeat last season.

2-0 Derby for me. We won't get battered, but we will offer absolutely fuck all. Similar to the Reading game. NML will most definitely score. Gayle to get his first goal against us is inevitable too.

Didn't even consider going. Genuinely lost interest. Me and my lad are ticking off two new grounds instead. Man City v Everton in the WSL at 12 then jump in a taxi to go watch a non league game just up the road at 3. Will be far more enjoyable.

He is getting some stick from some quarters but its bonkers, what is he meant to do with what he has? Same issues Crosby had, Flitcroft has failed miserably hence he has a 17 year old leading the line with Ryan Loft as the only other fit option, no wide men bar Clark who is long term injured, Limited midfield options and Dan Gore injured after 50 minutes of action, defenders who can't defend no matter what partnership we try... he has been royally left with nothing to work with. No fighters as we have the famous "dickhead test" so have no one to go into the trenches with, a vice captain who admitted he was "Stroppy" after Crosby left and at Cheltenham and Saturday appeared to down tools.

Arblaster and Devine papered the cracks because they were levels above L1 so carried us, allowed us to play football etc but thats over now.

I will judge him on next season when he has his own players to suit his own system... assume Flickers doesn't make the same mistakes again.

What club decides to set on a wing back system in August and only sign one wingback in the squad (who then breaks his ankle), then not even correct it in Janaury? Madness. That in mind we revert to 4 at the back to try and change fortunes but have no right or left back!

Btw meant to say to you after after we played you last week. One of our supporters does a blog and he was filmed outside your ground. There was a poster saying something like thank you Cod Army for travelling 566 miles to support your team -absolute class touch , well done
Do you do something similar for other visiting teams ?

We will lose 2-0 at Cheltenham. Nailed on.
I won’t be there. I’m going to congleton v Lichfield for top versus second in the midland league. I bet it’s more exciting.

We'll get bummed into next week. There's not a more certain result in the entire football league. Put your house on a Derby win. We're so far off them it's not even funny and they're not even good. Our attitude absolutely stinks. We'll go there and roll over for the 'mighty' Derby.

The fact that we've only sold 2k to a game 40 minutes down a straight A road says everything you need to know. I'd honestly just forfeit the game, give them a 3-0 win and move on. Utterly pointless us even playing this game.

Hi Leyton Orient fans. I know you've probably has this question previously. But what are the best pubs and where are they situated on the way to your ground please ?

Add fish & chips to that too!

Looking forward to this one, just under an hour away via central line.

After midweek results went for us we have to make sure we don't allow ourselves to slip up. Oxford are better than their recent form, however I think teams will dread coming to Fratton Park at the minute. Going for a 2-0

Running out of games and Wigan on Saturday aren't going to give much away
A draw would be a decent result but in the grand scheme of things waste of time. From now to the end of the season it's going to be a long series of goodbyes, but hopefully for not too long, well give or take a year or two or three.....

Yeah, we do it for all clubs - also give the first X amount of away fans through the turnstile a voucher for a free hot drink

Yeah we do it for all teams. Did you get a free drink too?

We are very welcoming and most teams go home with at least a point.

With my wife getting over an op, I can't do my usual pub before and after the game on Saturday, so I'll be arriving at 2:50 and leaving on the final whistle.

We need to play so much better than the last two games. We seem to have lost our way a little bit and we were bullied so much by Wycombe. I expect a bounce back on Saturday and another relegation rival is just what we need to be up against.

Standby for a 2-0 defeat now.

Maine Road FC mate. Watched them on the opening day of their season at the end of July, away at Brocton.

It was a toss up between that and Stalybridge Celtic, so I went for the cheaper taxi ride.

Depends what you fancy.

If you like proper (read: cask) beer, then the Os Supporters Club bar in the West Stand is easily the best bet (as far as I'm aware, it's the only bar in a football ground in the country to be listed in the CAMRA guide) - £1 to get in and away fan friendly, very reasonable prices, and a good place to soak up the pre match atmosphere.

Unfortunately the Technical is closed, meant to be re-opening this year, but that was the classic away fan choice.

The Star is fine, handy as it's near the station, but personally I don't love it.

Coach and Horses is decent - right near the ground and recently been done up, food isn't bad either, but it is very much London prices (though compared to Bristol I guess it's about the same).

Honestly, I'd grab some food on your way and head to the SC - it gets busy, so the earlier the better.

---

As for the game, all we can do is keep on winning. Playoffs still very much an outside shot, especially with our injuries and small squad, still 5 points behind 6th and they have a game in hand so it feels unlikely.

That said, we're playing some really good football for league 1 at the moment, on paper we should win - but it would be classic orient to win two tougher games (Oxford away, Blackpool home), and then lose to Brovers...

Think you're still our most played club of all time.
