Charlton away with 1500 tickets sold so far which should make for a good atmosphere. 250 of the 1500 will be aboard a boat on the Thames from 10.30 -13.30 with a licensed bar so a few might not make the game.

Jackson has got Charlton improving so will be a tough game but I fancy us to get a point Saturday. 1-1.

Luckily I’m not one of those on the boat so beverages around the bridge first then onto charlton, have absolutely no idea if there’s any pubs near the ground though.

looking forward to it as it’s a ground I’ve never been to, as for the game, charlton seem to be clicking now so I’m expecting a really tough game, hopefully we’ll put in a better performance than we did against mk, fingers crossed Tracey makes it although I have my doubts after last night and hoolahan comes back in, would love to see Jones come back in as we’re missing him big time.

3-1

Thoughts on Jack Iredale?

Short trip to Cheltenham.

Sums the job up when Appleton thought our best chance of scoring a goal last night was not to play our only available striker and have a front three of a winger, midfielder and left back instead. The only real positive was Bridcutt getting 45 minutes under his belt.

Doubt we'll have Jackson available, he went off with concussion again last night (was that his second or third of the season?) and his replacement, Eyoma, got sent off so we have one CB available who'll probably be partnered by RB, Poole, which means we'll have Bishop, a CM, playing RB.

That'll leave us with no Walsh, Jackson, Eyoma, Scully, Hopper and possibly young Draper who also has concussion and has to sit out for longer because of his age (17). Doubt we'll fill the bench for this one!

1 goal in 6 for us now, against Bowers and Pitsea in the FA Cup. Last league goal was October, albeit we've had three cup games and a blank weekend in there so it looks worse than it is - although still not a great record!

Home to Morecambe. Need to get as many points in the bag as possible before Christmas. After then we have 6 weeks of really tough fixtures that will tell us whether or not we have a chance of reaching the play-offs.

Traditionally, we collapse dramatically after Christmas. Seem to do it every season regardless of who's in charge.

Massive 6 pointer, hopefully the second half performance from last night continues with a possible couple of missing players back

Absolutely nothing in Charlton for away fans now.

You’re best either staying at London Bridge or stopping off in either Greenwich or Blackheath.

As for the game, we’ve been pretty relentless in our last few home games. 4-0 against Doncaster and two 2-0 wins over Plymouth and Ipswich although both of those games should have been 4 or 5 so we’re due to give someone else a battering.

3-0.

Won’t they let way fans in the Rose of Denmark anymore?

Nope. Check tickets upon entry now.

Unfortunately, with more and more pubs in the area closing it resulted in more away fans drinking in the Rose of Denmark which in turn leads to incidents so they’ve now made it home only.

The Anchor on the Thames which is about 15 minute walk still allows away fans I believe but bit chilly up there mid-December!

What happened to the Antigallican? That was a decent pub?

Shut down a few years back.

It was a shithole really and was never a really popular pub for locals so relied heavily on away fans on match days. A victim of our relegations down the leagues I suppose.

I heard that rumour last Saturday too.

He was good last season but this season he’s been outstanding. Lovely left foot, can play LB, LWB and LM. He’s also played center back due to injuries too. I’m not sure he’s championship quality though.

Tickets are selling well. I want to wait out for the upper tier to open up for sale but have you sold tickets up there yet this season?

The win on Tuesday takes the pressure off a little for what will be a tough game vs Wednesday. They're unbeaten in quite a while, but have picked up alot of draws recently. If by some miracle we can win, we're right back in the fight for survival.

We will certainly be alot more competitive than we would have been about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Playing more of the younger homegrown players seems to have given us abit of a lift.

Crewe 1-3 Sheffield Wednesday (Finney, Gregory, Shodipo, Bannan) 6,122 (2,200 Owls)

May sound daft because we’re unbeaten in 11/12 but it’s a good time to be playing us this week. Current back 3 is made up of a striker, right back and winger. Luongo banned, he is vital in enabling Bannan to do his thing. Gregory is touch and go too.

Ipswich at home, we haven't beaten them in a very long time. They are 8 in a row against us and our home performances with 4-2-3-1 don't fill me with much confidence, so Ipswich will get their usual win probably.

Need to switch to 3-4-3 at home, to give us more width to open up teams, we are too easy to defend against at home. Frustrating as away from home we have looked superb so far.

Very hard game expected against Gills tomorrow, they will be well up for it after Tuesday's result and desperate to bounce back, Steve Evans will use all his wiles to get a result. We are still waiting on a managerial appt, Crainey has done well and its an interesting one as to whether he should perhaps be appointed interim manager till the end of the season. Both teams struggling with injuries so more great opportunities for the academy players on both sides .Hopefully Fleetwood can just get over the line, while I do not wish for Gills to get anything from the game I wish them well for the remainder of the season
After Christmas there are always teams who drop like a stone in the league, and other who claw there way up, what odds on the sides tomorrow being in league 1 next year. ( Dont forget, the incentive is to see Wayne Rooney in the dugout )

Home to AFCW.

No idea what to expect from this one, and not really familiar with any of their players other than Darius Charles (ex-us and ought to get a rousing positive reception from the home support).

I haven't bothered to check the actual stats on this but it seems like we have a worrying tendency to turn shite around Xmas time (even in seasons where we do well overall) so it'd be nice if we can avoid that this time round, thanks very much.

Anyway - the table *still* means nothing even at this point in the season (though it's possible we may not go down this campaign) so let's keep the momentum and see where it gets us.

You need a goal? Good time to be playing us! 9 conceded in the last two games and unless Ragland and/or Boyle are fit to start (unlikely) I can't see you not scoring at least once. Should be a good game, looking forward to it.

Short trip to Sunderland. Everyone I know who is going left today.

So since Sunday the players have travelled to Rochdale, Milton Keynes and now Sunderland. If they have not bonded now…

Bobbin' , random one but I could do with some advice for our prediction league, what do you think the attendance will be today? Notice the last couple have been a lot bigger than what you'd been getting previously, ticket promotions or genuine spike in interest because of the new manager?
