Big game Saturday, a win is not the be all and end all for us but it is pretty close, claw them back to within a point and cut into their air of invincibility that is around them at them at moment.

We absolutely peppered Morecambe last night but only 3 goals from 30 shots is a tad worrying as is taking until the 70th minute to break the deadlock.

Usually a close game between us and Shrews. Definitely one we should be targeting three points from but they will be saying the same the other way. We dropped Mal Benning last night and the reason given was his performance in the last couple of games. I hope that same standard is applied to one or two others such as Garrity.

Odds-on home to Plymouth. I can see why I suppose but could be worth backing the draw was we've had plenty of those over the years.

Cheltenham odds look interesting. Coming off a good win and now away at Accrington who are struggling to score this season.

Might have a nibble on Ipswich at Wednesday. May be the longest odds we'll see on them all season. Ipswich are looking formidable at the moment whereas Wednesday can be brittle.

Not the worst shout that. Sorry though Masi but I think Peterborough’s bad run comes to an end on Saturday. I just think when they put it together their firepower up top is as good if not better than anyone else and feel it’s a matter of time.

They've only ever beaten us twice in League games in the modern era. Once at VP and once at their place. Our record against them is really good.

Both the same season if I recall. Had some good games against them but thankfully the trouble around them seems to have subsided in recent years as it was usually one full of trouble.

We need to be looking to win this with the next three being Posh, Wednesday and Derby, hopefully we can get the side that finished last night to give us 60 minutes as we looked a completely different side with Wilson, Politic, Butterworth and Massey.

If we are to compete in this league we need our best players on the pitch.

I would drop Garrity for Politic, start Willo and get 60 out of him and Massey for Worrall. Ideally bring in Benning for DJ.

Not looking forward to this.
A full squad to choose from id be pretty confident at home, but we didnt have many defenders available before both CB's got sent off last night so god knows who will be playing.

2 tough away games on the bounce, Derby and Wednesday. Realistically would be happy with 1 or 2 points out of 6, I know we’re level on points with Derby but I presume they’ve got some pretty decent players so we’ll have to be on it.

We looked really fragile trying to park the bus v Accy (despite somehow scraping a clean sheet) so I hope we don’t try the same on Saturday.

I’m going to this (yes, for sad tickoff reasons) so that tips the odds yet further in Derby’s favour.

fair opinion, but i think they have lost a few on the spin
Bodvarrson nearly fit to start as is Sheehan Dapo rested last couple and Charles on the scoresheet midweek.

I hope we can follow up last night's performance with something similar against Charlton. Another test against an ex Premier League club, let nobody underestimate how hard this league is, so many big clubs, big grounds, big crowds. For Fleetwood to be competing against them is an achievement in itself
Is it too much to expect a 2 nd successive win ? Not at all....2-1 to the Cods

To be honest I don't think you will need strikers, anyone who can run forward will do.
It's so desperate 38 year old Glenn Whelan may play as CB.
Even your ex player Harry Anderson who usually helps out at full back went off injured last night so we are pretty fucked.

We usually play 4-3-3 with two pacey wingers in Jack Diamond (loan from Sunderland) and Jordon Garrick (loan from Swansea). Diamond especially looked very promising last night, Garrick was back after a few weeks injuried too.

Hows Anderson been for you?

Yeah he has been great for us, nicknamed Rhino I believe.
Always puts a shift in which means the fans ignore times where he loses the ball, but thats going to happen when you are prepared to take players on like he does.
We'll have to see if he is good enough for the top half of L1 though which is where we are aiming to be.

Good chance for Burton to break their duck, we have two of our centre backs out, with a third one half fit.
Just when we think we have got enough options up front, we struggle at the back.

3-3 probably

Is your disciplinary record just a case of bad luck or is it a deep rooted issue? You seem to get a lot of bookings and sendings off.

Shrewsbury is a game we need to win at home. They seem to be pretty up and down and by all accounts they were fortunate last night and could have been a few down at half time.

They're a team that we're more than capable of beating with our best players on the pitch. It showed last night that with our best players out we can give anyone a game. We just haven't settled on our best team yet and are still playing catch up on other teams that finished a month before us. In honesty we've gone into some games with a team that might struggle in league 2. Fortunately we've managed to pick up a few points here and there.

I honestly haven't seen a team yet who I thought was miles better than us. There's a few decent individuals but it's still a pretty poor league. Once we settle I think we'll be absolutely fine.

Weird when they have such a bastion of self-restraint and discipline to look up to in their gaffer.

According to Barton, we are going to be lumping it straight forward to test your backline. Seems a strange comment, has he seen any of our games? Whilst we've mixed up our style since Kennedy came in, we haven't got the personnel to lump it forward!

Don’t know about us yet. Played some quality football but we haven’t played anyone of any real note so far. Don’t know what to expect from us in a big game this season. Would take a point now

We have Sam winnall up front. We couldn’t score 3 goals if you went on strike.
The best we can hope for is a Dino special 0-0 shithouse performance where we time waste, kick you and row z it when you come near us. That’s all we got.
Consequently I won’t be going down - instead going to a non league fa cup game.
0-2 defeat.

I'm not saying we've been any good yet...we haven't really played that well apart from the odd 20 minutes here and there. There are a number of reasons as to why that is, not least lack of preparation and having our 4 best players unfit but even then we've still managed to scrape 2 wins and 3 draws (a couple of the draws should have been wins in all honesty) . We've started some games with a team that would struggle in league 2, yet we could be sitting in the top 10. But I think you're mistaking my point.

What I objected to at the start of the season was this notion that there are 8-10 clubs who we might as well just default a win to and that there is a huge gulf. There isn't. Every team is a 3rd division team with a few of these teams having 2 or 3 quality players.

Do I feel we have shown what we are capable of yet? No. Do I feel that there's a huge gulf between the top and the bottom of the division? No. Wednesday and Ipswich have clearly got some quality but as we have seen, they're not invincible.

It was the arrogance to believe that there was 8-10 teams who are too good for this league that has irked me. I'll stand by what I said. This is a poor league with maybe a couple of teams slightly ahead of the rest but who would be relegation fodder in the league above.

Are you going to get the chance to spend the cash from selling Ahadme in January? Seems harsh to have made a poor start, *and* taken the cheap managerial option, *and* flogged one of your best players.

If Dino is still in charge - I wouldn’t give him the cash. Don’t trust him to use it wisely.
Maybe we will use the money to plug the gap in the attendances after people like me stopped going.
Either way we are going down. 6 years it’s been, but we are league 2 bound.

Well aside from Bolton who I think will be up there. Our next 3 are Wednesday, Plymouth and Pompey so we’ll see how we perform in the bigger games against sides that are fancied for the top 6
