Oh lovely, Harrogate away. Their cup final so they'll be well up for it and all that.

A (far) away match against a team in a good run of form - exactly the circumstances under which we've been, relatively, flourishing, of late. And really we should have beaten Donny in the reverse fixture.

Still, am a bit concerned we're running out of players, with injuries and ill-discipline. Particularly up front we are reliant on too few. And the bench has been effectively too close to bare on at least two occasions recently.

Wouldn't like to call it but would happily take a win as we watch ColU sink into the Blackwater Estuary (in the past this would have been meant metaphorically)

I find it somewhat unseemly that we’ve nearly sold out for Saturday already, about 200 seats left which will go in the next day or so, and Grimbarians are not known for parting with cash ahead of time. This relative rush for tickets is a bit tinpot…it’s just a game for a 4th from bottom team against another promotion challenger over 100 miles away, like Stockport - for that game about 500 home tickets were left unsold and another 500 STH didn’t turn up.

Massive game for us, but we're worryingly short upfront. 2nd striker Courtney Baker-Richardson likely out for the rest of the season with a shoulder dislocation. Leaves us with 1 fit striker in Elliott Nevitt. Also missing Jack Powell, Chris Long, Luke Offord, Joel Tabiner, Matus Holicek, all of whom start when fit.

Still, Wimbledon don't look fully stocked now, as they are about to lose Omar Bugiel to international duty and also seem to be down a few players to injury.

No reason we shouldn't be looking to take at least a draw out of this. A win would be massive and put us within touching distance of securing a top 7 spot in my opinion.

Colchester for us, a big chance to put early points on the board, ridiculously early kick off for colchester fans but we had that at their place last season so evens itself out.

Colchester hanging around the relegation zone so will be scrapping for everything and will fight tooth and nail for everything, tricky match.

After the highs of Saturday it’s back to dreading the next one. Looks like Colchester don’t lose many of late, I’m sure the Ugly step sisters will have them set up to frustrate the fuck out of us and it’ll probably work!

Sky game aswell, bet the viewers can’t wait

About time we won a game to give us a bit of hope of making the play-offs again before the next inevitable disappointment. Morecambe 1-2 Gills

Colchester and Notts are getting BATTERED. Rest of it is tougher to call.

History between mansfield and those tits.

Get an early goal and happy days but they’ll be looking for a draw and do everything they can.

Play like we did at bradford and they can try all they want…. problem being is bradford came at us, colchester won’t do that and don’t have the players to do that, but won’t stop them trying.

Surprised to see them struggling though, and we were very lucky to get a last minute equaliser at their place.

Totally agree with you on the reverse fixture but we were beyond bad and very lucky back then. We are a far better team now, Craig, Ironside and Westbrooke should be back and possibly Maxwell too making us have a very strong bench to choose from. I will add that everyone of Cotterill’s teams in the past have given us trouble and usually a draw is the best we get.

Colchester is going to be a tough game unless we get an early goal. It’s always the teams that are happy to sit behind the ball and hope for a deflected thigh goal that we struggle against and I reckon that’s how they will set up.

If they let one slip early on though….

You're not kidding anyone, I fancy you to put 9 past them.

Make sure get at least a draw then. You enjoyed the best of (for the opposition) and last of Artellball before his epiphany and conversion to Hurstball+ so a little payback is due…

We have that when we play notts but we still get 6 points.
I used to like playing our local rivals but I can’t see that happening any time soon as i’ve just looked at the top 5 divisions and I can’t seem to find them anywhere.

Away banker for Colchester at Mansfield as it’s now at that point of the season that they are dangerously close to the relegation zone where they suddenly decide to win 3 games in a row and pull clear.

No need to blow even more smoke up the arses of the north wales mob!
You omitted that prior to Stockport, Grimsby had been on a terrible run, couldn’t remember the last home win. Now 2 home wins on the trot, is it 6 unbeaten?

There will still be many season ticket holders absent, I know of several who go virtually every game but are at Wembley to watch England

Pearson and Waterfall at the back for the RESURGENT Mariners, that's the early team news.

Hurst back in the dugout by Saturday too, should be a cracker.

Not a bad time at all to be playing Wrexham all things considered. Mullin will no doubt get a nice warm welcome from the home fans after WHAT HE DID. Will be the first time in my memory that they come with a decent following so (which is not a dig as we don't traditionally travel well that way either) hopefully we can keep them quiet.

Complete free hit this one after taking four points from the last two tough matches. I'd take a point here but a win would be superb.

Yeah my lads a season ticket holder but he’s working Saturdays now so he won’t be there either.

I'm going into this game with absolutely nothing, not 1 iota of a win coming our way. Our very predictable tactics are piss easy to play against, coupled with us being away from home and being very shot shy. PP doesn't know that PM plays loads better when Palmer is in the team. Along with our shite away form and only managed to score more than 1 goal away about 3 times all season. I've been to Grimsby twice and lost both, so expecting the same again in all honesty.

We never win at Grimsby. We can't deal with the Cleethorpes weather.

I am still fairly confident we will claw our way across the line this year but im consoling myself with the thought that if we fall out of the top three despite the fact we won't get through the playoffs we will come back next year with an obscene squad and Piss the League (TM)

A draw at EP is basically free money, looking at that
