Only four matches I believe. We have the A38 Derby. I never realised what a long road it is, with Burton visiting Home Park.

We have two players out on International duty, striker Jephcott and CB Galloway. We assume CB Wilson will be back from concussion, but with at least four normal starters out injured our bench will be academy players. Not sure who will replace Jeffers, either Agard who I doubt will be match fit for a whole game or Garrick, but he is deputising at wing back.

Ah the a38 derby. It’s so close I may hope on the x38 bus. Wonder if it goes all the way for £2.50?

Be a good game.....Cannot call anything in this league except your right back will need a early night

Hope so. Sounds like you will be bringing a good following which always makes it better. Jack Hunts been dropped and Liam Palmers average at best, on the other side is Marvin Johnson so I suspect you’ll get joy down both wings.

Hoping Kieran Lee plays as well, he’ll get a top reception.

Lee is just edging Sheehan out of the 11 at the moment especially away. Him and MJ Williams are a good combination in the middle of the park.
Dapo will give Palmer a nightmare and will be booked in the first 20
On the other side we will have Isgrove who is tidy and works but is a steady eddie or Bakayoko who is fit again who is just a brute but he is never ever going to be classed as a winger

You don’t want to go all the way that will take you into Cornwall.
I understand Brayford might be out for a while. How big a loss for you is he? Mayor has been out for a while for us, but his replacement Broom is having more impact of games than Mayor did.

It’s a massive kick in the bollocks. 7-8 weeks. We have been hampered with injuries since preseason and it’s frustrating. We have a massive squad but when you look at it, no real strength in depth and for that reason we are maximum mid table.
You seem to struggle at home against the lesser teams, so that might work to our advantage, but I can only see a loss here.

Those teams that sit back, park the bus and hope for the smash and grab we struggle to break down. Hardie is on fire if a team plays a high defence giving him space to get behind. And it is no surprise that few teams try that at Home Park. Our midfield are getting chances but simply not converting them: Hardie and Jephcott can’t do it all alone. They need help. If Broom and Pan in the middle are in the game and Houghton is playing quarterback you may struggle. Nullify Pan and Broom in particular and we may huff and puff, but not blow down your house. As Jeffers is out with Wales I am not sure if it will be Agard or Garrick partnering Hardie. If Garrick he is possibly as fast as Hardie. Certainly if those two turn your CBs they could be in trouble unless you have real pace there. I am looking forward to it, guess it will be 11-12k in the crowd.

hopefully we sit back then, or we will get dicked if we invite you on.
What I have seen of argyle this season is very impressive, and there seems plenty of pace. Be great to see you go up. It will be a very tough game, and a point would be great. We can score, and we usually do, but we concede plenty and Brayford not there weakens out defence so I expect goals.
i still say defeat, 3-1. Unless we can somehow hold out for an hour and then somehow shithouse a 1-0 through hemmings.

I prefer to avoid predictions, but I do note that when Speedo Mick who has watched two of our games was present we won 2-1. Lowe has invited him tomorrow. So 8-8 it is then.

Intrigued to see how Kieran Agard does for us today. Luke Jephcott is away with Wales U21s.

Hopefully Ryan Law comes in for Jordan Garrick, if Conor Grant isn’t available, to give us something natural left sided width.

Expecting a tough game, that Burton side aren’t bad on paper. Think we’ll win 1-0. Ryan Broom with the goal.

May well be kachunga on the right hand side against Johnson. And I’m guessing he’ll get the opposite reception Lee will get. He’s started the last few league games on the right. I’d go Isgrove in a big away game though as he runs all day. 2-2 draw I’m going for.

He won’t necessarily get a bad reception, there’s no reason to dislike him, he just wasn’t very good but not through lack of trying.

It’s quite hard to call what we’ll go for as it’s changing every week. 4-2-3-1 with everyone in their actual position would be a start.

I actually saw a bit of Evatt’s Barrow when they won the Conference a couple of years ago so if he’d adapted the same style with you it’ll be a hard game.

I like you dont see kachunga as a good player
He has changed his Barrow style slightly where he played a back 5 with what he called his full backs as hybrids......full back come winger. He now plays with two holding midfielders instead of the three centre halfs.
We have a lot of the ball but it gives the opposition chances if they can break quickly.

He’s earned us a few points this season though with assists off the bench to be fair. Isgrove should be first choice though definitely. Long term I still hope it will be Politic.

We are usually really good and get results against teams that have a go at us. We seem to struggle against teams that sit with 11 behind the ball. We had over 75% possession against Cambridge and Burton and only got a point from those 2. We deserved a point against Sunderland at least and shouldn’t have lost to Rotherham. Then we were crap against Charlton and won 4-1 and weren’t great against Shrewsbury either and won. Not sure what type of team you are under Moore but I imagine at home you’ll be having a go. Oh and we are still shocking at defending set pieces especially against big sides.

Winning without playing well is usually the sign of a good team pal! Looking at the team we’ve just put out it looks good on paper but again I’m not sure what system it is. Could be a 3-5-2 or a 4-2-3-1. Hunt back in so thats a worry if it’s a flat back 4 and Dapo is as good as your fans reckon!

First 20/25mins I thought we were head and shoulders above Sheff Wed. I couldn’t tell what they were trying to do, just looks like they are trying to lump it to Gregory at every opportunity. We should have scored very early. But they’ve grown into it. And could have scored themselves. Pretty even overall. Iorfa lucky not to get a second yellow at the end of the half.

We’ve been the same all season. Nobody knows what style we’re trying to play. You are pressing well and it’s not sticking when we’re having to go direct so we’ve not got going. Better last 10/15 of the second half though, I can see a couple of goals in this half.

Katchunga bottled it early should have shot instead of playing Doyle in.
Dapo left his shooting boots at home.
Got to start the second half like we started the first.

Need to get Bakayoko on. Doyle hasn’t been good today. Should have played Kieran Lee in there not sarce.

That’s an absolute joke that. I don’t usually get angry with football but how does Dapo get booked for diving when he’s clearly tripped… then Sheff Wed go up the other end and score. The ref has been shocking. Iorfa should have had a second yellow.

We’ve missed some great chances mind but hard one to take that

What a frustrating day. That’s why we won’t go up this season. We just don’t take enough of our chances. We created 2/3 quality chances today that we should be scoring. Not convinced Sheff Wed will be up there with Moore in charge… expected a lot more from them. Can’t believe we haven’t got anything from that. Onto a massive game against Wigan next week.

Bolton will be disappointed with that. We were shakey at the back and played like we have most of the season. Poor defending from Santos for the winner. I was expecting more from Dapo as well, he probably had the ball more than anyone and didn’t do much with it.

Moore needs to figure his best team and the style he wants to play ASAP because if we carry on like this then we’ll be mid table at best.

Got scoffed at previously by Bolton fans when saying that won’t be near the top six with Doyle as their main striker. Maybe now they’ll start to listen.

They’ll still probably do us mind, and I bet he scores the winner!

I would not write us off yet because this league is so even
we could end up top six or bottom six........Doyle needs taking out of the firing line because its just not going for him at this time......A lot of mediocre performances today but Wed are as poor as us and the same applies to them.
Wigan next week for there cup final.
Its up to the board to decide where we end up next may. New recruitment in January or go with what we have got.
I would go with what we have got. We simply are not good enough for the championship, and it would need a expensive rebuild next summer.
Consolidate this season and learn from days like today and build slowly

In the first half we utterly dominated and 2-0 flattered Burton. Second half they made changes and we were average at best. Just squeaked through 2-1. Won’t say this again for a long time: Top of The League.

Well done to you. good to see argyle top.
We took too long to get going. Didn’t deserve anything mainly due to our inept first half. Should have been 3 or 4 down.
We are sliding down the table..sort it out Jimmy lad.
