Scunny vs Northampton

We're playing so well at the moment but we did draw our last two home games, we really need to be looking at winning this one. However, Northampton have started off the season very well and it'll be a massive test. Josh Morris is also likely to be out which is a big loss for us.

Dont fancy our chances in this one. Granted we won our last away game at Swindon but generally away from home we have been very defensive and a lot more direct which has caused issues. Hoping to see McCourt back for this one as we looked far to open against Bristol Rovers. Reckon it could be a 2-0 loss with Scunthorpe flying.

I will be surprised if Morris plays. Not trained all week and a hamstring issue. Rest time for him me thinks. We are due a slip up soon and we nearly did that in the last 2 home games. It could be 3rd time lucky for the away side.

edit: saying that we got a point in what looked a carbon copy of the game a couple of years ago. And actually played well for it.

Frustrating not to win due to being 1-0 up and Northampton going down to 10 men.

However, we weren't at our best and Northampton played well which meant that they did deserve at least a point so it's not the worst point to gain as it was against a good side.

Thought we had the better chances and were the better side and I'm pleased we went for the win even with 10 men. A very encouraging performance.

I suspected a slip up today and there nearly was one. We looked non-league and that was due to the Cobblers making us look like that. They looked a lot like us when away from home, spoiling play and putting in a good shift. Deserved draw. They lacked a bit of class up front, otherwise it would have been an away win. Playing like they did, they should do well this season.

Referee was appalling, again and for me created a stop-start game, which did us no favours. Our manager, Alexander had a shocking game, misreading play and waiting too long with his substitutions. Three homes games, three draws. We have change the set-up and formation now, Teams have worked us out Away from home, we will have to keep winning to stay in the top 6. Oh yeah, Josh Morris was fit and scored another fabulous goal, this time a direct free-kick. Watch it, if you get chance.
