He had to go as there was no way he could step on Yank soil next month as he'd be arrested immediately.

How much of an impact will it really make? I mean, sure, it 's great news, but it won't solve much. It just means some other corrupt person will take his place.

John Terry must be hanging around Zurich in a Chelsea kit somewhere ready to celebrate this glorious moment.

Certainly didn't see it coming, assumed he'd hang on until the cops carried him away kicking and screaming.

He 100% knew he couldn't step foot on American soil. I hope he's forced to dig graves for every slave laborer that has died in Qatar. Hopefully the biggest tragedy of the lot receives an immediate intervention.

FIFA have announced his successor....a little known Swiss administrator called Bepp Slatter who is distantly related to Blatter, by envelope.

The 1st decent thing he has done. For the good of football at all levels the world over. What is needed now is a strong leader and transparency in all the organisations future dealings.

:woo:

He'll go down for years, and will likely die in prison.

Now - I wouldn't wish death upon him, but will be delighted to see him behind bars, lets just say that.

As long as there is no new president, we can't trust that situation. He is still working with his deputy until new election.

But it was necessary!

I speak for the whole forum here, THANK YOU USA.

You know what I'm always critical of USA these days as they are a despicable country, but I'll say this for them; when they investigate something, they see it through and are always diligent, and I remember hearing someone say a while back when the FBI got involved, that FIFA really should start to worry about its actions, and this, along with the Swiss internal investigations, do seem to be finally beginning to make headway in clearing out the corruption thats rife with that organisation.

FBI has a 93% conviction rate.

Also, "despicable" should be reserved for countries that enslave people, commit genocide, etc. The USA, not without its own flaws, is a wonderful country to live; citizens from the majority of the world would love to become American citizens. People should stop drinking the damn yankees juice.

Likely he'll remain in post for another six months, plenty of time to destroy some hard drives and get his shredding done.
