These are just going to be random facts from this season to enlighten everyone's day with some useless knowledge about what's going on in League 2... so you can look clever down the pub.

Bored Exeter fans might want to consider moving to Birmingham where they'll be well placed for away games. The Grecians have only scored a single goal at home all season, way back on the 18th of August, and even then they lost. However they have 11 on the road, that's the joint third highest in the division.

Maybe if Exeter had the courage to sack their manager and try a change in staff then maybe their fortunes would change. I mean if a guy who dresses up like this was your manager would you respect him and fear a bollocking from him?

I don't think so, I'd probably just laugh and tell him to fuck off.

Stat of the day 2

Blackpool are the only team in the division (aside from Carlisle) who are yet to lose by more than one goal. They've lost five times, twice 1-0, twice 2-1 and once 3-2. This goes some way to explaining why they are one of only eight teams with a positive goal difference despite being only two points clear of the relegation zone, their three wins have all been by two goals or more (2-0, 3-0, 3-1). Their season can be summed up as plenty of draws, too many narrow defeats, a few good victories, too few fans.

I think there are a couple around but they don't go to the matches so don't have a lot to share. They have my sympathy.

Also
.............too many narrow defeats, a few good victories, too few fans in the ground at their matches .

They've heard about this dead hard Carlisle fan with a rapier wit and vast football knowledge knocking around here so they're staying away.

I've seen them before just not lately, there's one called Seasiders I think, and one called Kurt, from memory.

Would that be enough of a reason for you to get another new manager?

You'd think so, but the only time Mad Frank stuck with a manager for more than five minutes was our last non-English-speaking manager who cheerfully stayed in a job until he got us relegated.

I know we (the Stags) don't score many goals but we have not score a first half goal at home yet this season.

Apologies for the poor quality of today's stat. They won't be every single day, just as an when something strikes me as interesting.

The fastest goal to be scored in a League Two game, and indeed a League game, was scored by John Akinde after 23 seconds of Barnet's away game at Newport. However the match was abandoned at half time due to a lack of investment in Newport County Football Club and the goal doesn't stand. Would have been though... shame that.

Carlisle United's Nicky Adams has recorded 19 assists since August 2015, the highest in the Football League (and Premier League).

Should our unbeaten run stretch over another nine games (7 league 2 cup) then Nicky Adams will have gone an entire year without being on a losing side. Bit of a stretch admittedly, we're away to Luton and GY in that bunch)

I wonder if this latest really long unbeaten run is going to end as well for Keith as his last one did.
