It sounded almost boringly easy. Our commentator said you can't judge Uniteds performance tonight because Shrewsbury have real problems.

Should have won by more.
We're creating chances for fun.
Now won 7 and drawn 2 in our last 9 league matches and we're getting better each match.
Someone needs to beat us soon to bring me back down to earth.

Shrewsbury in trouble?

Understatement of the season to date there fella.

Mellon should have gone in May, that's not me trying to be clever after the event as I said so at the time. The new gaffer will now inherit his array of generally awful summer signings and be working with one hand tied behind his back until January.

It's going to take something remarkable to get us out of this hole, but there is still enough time if the right appointment is made.
