Be interesting to see what team Mellon goes for in this game, having chopped and changed so far. Will probably see at least one of the 2 lads on loan from Stoke start. Would be good to see if Moha lives up to his pedigree having started out at Barcelona. Looked lively on Tuesday when given the ball, though doubt he would be up for a physical game.

Any League 1 team visiting the Meadow should rightly very much fancy their chances.

It's early days but Mellon doesn't appear to have learned from last season. He still doesn't seem to know his preferred formation and is still far too keen to change formation one or more times each game.

Given our abysmal home showing last season, a season that saw a club record number of home defeats, he badly needs to register an early home win or two in League 1. Patience is likely to be in short supply if our home form doesn't improve in the early weeks of the season.

This is Mellon's third League 1 squad rebuild in a little over 12 months. Clear signs of progression well before Christmas are vital as I very much doubt he'll be afforded the luxury of a fourth squad rebuild in January.

I like our promising start to the season, exceeding my low expectations pre-season. Mainly because the new signings are all very useful and Chedwyn is a demon. I'd be disappointed not to come away with all 3 here.

Sounds like that young keeper at fault for not dealing with set pieces. Could really do with Tommy back. Gutted to have lost that as it sounds like we battered Shrewsbury, especially 2nd half. Just one of those games I guess!

A fairly unconvincing performance overall, but a few good individual performances, from Town.

However, an important first win of the season in terms of morale.

Hopefully something to build on but still plenty of areas of concern.
